Hi, here is one of my very recent work After long time.
As I am a huge fan of Quake and unreal tournament games.I decided to create something like that. This artwork has been done in 3 months.Hope you guys like it.
excellent detail work! However i would suggest that you try to push the background back a bit as the tonal range is too close to your character which then competes for attention.I would try bluring the background more or lighting it up a bit which would make your character pop a bit more.
Beautiful detail on the armour. When I paint objects close to the focal character, I put a light haze of a warm hue to make a distance and separate the two. I also put an overall 'Overlay' or 'soft light' layer to tie the BG and the character tonal values together.
your details are great, and the colors are smooth..my only concern with the figure is if he can he even walk in that suit,.,or even bend down in a shooting position..
hes coverd tightly in so much tech stuff, that theres no room for body movement..
Firstly, I'm by no means anywhere near as skilled a concept artist as most of the people on this site, so feel free to disregard my opinion entirely. But as a "consumer" or "admirer" of art like this, I honestly think this work is killer. Whether or not the body suit would realistically permit movement never occurred to me, what did occur to me immediately was how bitchin' and unique it looked, and how excellently it was rendered.
I feel like I keep seeing the same guy in the same suit with the same jawline and the same tribal tattoos in post after post carrying the same huge gun. Yet I was able to look at this picture and forget about the universality of its subject matter. Looking at the suit, it makes me wonder if it's even a suit. I think maybe there's really a scrawny guy in there or it's actually just a mechanical body supporting a head and spinal cord. Maybe it's comprised of intelligent nano-servos that shift and transform around each other as the man moves. It really gets my imagination going and that's more than I can say for other pics.
