Ugh. got so stuck on my homework tonight, triangles can just die. Ended up playing videogames so heres an older piece. I see so many problems with it now, the horizen, the colours, the image is too flat no depth at all.

random pieces of work for school, doing a character design module, looking at different looks for my gorilla. very new at this kind of thing but really loving it
I'm loving the gorilla's faces and the sketchy body studies.
some more random work for school. working off some other peoples silhouettes and turning them into gorilla forms, I like these alot more than previous ones

my little brother, found in my photo collection. He's far better looking than this, I'm just very messy. I feel i have a better grasp of the face ( though this is not a brilliant pic)
My final concept for school project

Looking good man, keep practicing and itll start to get better. I suggest trying to sharpen up your lines soon, your getting some nice anatomy down
another self portrait, I really want to try using less brush strokes in my work but I'm finding it hard. this was rarther quick and the colours are kinda funky
one of my great friends, done from a photo. Left side of his face looks a little weird and it glows a bit much. not even sure what that means. spend a long time on this
two quick enviroment sketchs. snowy mountains are epic
self portrait. I cant see my self in it though. I think i need to work on proportions (cant spell)
im just not feeling it at all. another self portrait, this one nothing like me and the eyes are weird, i have no time to draw trying to get my head around rigging models agh!
I dont like this picture at all, nothing is working in it
playing in painter
just some random sketch's really, I have a problem in that I'm not sure what i should be studying or drawing to improve, so I'm just sort of drawing random things. Direction is needed!
a couple of sketchs, used a friends camera. Sorry for the bad lighting and my shadow hanging across most of them
wanted to practice light and shadow, so the lines were traced from an old photo of me
Zweit: hey thanks alot dude! i honestly never know what i should be doing to improve so thanks, ill try defining things a little more, im always scared to comit to a drawing which is why i leave them a little undefined i think
waterfall, started with some photo elements for the waterfall
again not much digital stuff very busy with animation

Nice matte paintings! Can't offer much crits there, just really solid.. Also, I dig the turtle.. i'm a sucker for turtles
You were asking about conture lines and I didn't see a response so I found some examples (via Bing image search) of conture/cross conture drawing, to get the juices flowing. Get involved with the form of you drawings by feeling them out with conture lines! Don't be afraid to bust out some ink and paper, and make some mistakes. Keep up the good work
Rock on oates! Keep on levelling!
Sketchbook: My epic journey from suck to awesome
ChromaticCodex: oh i see! cheers so its like drawing round the form, i got you. thanks I'll give it a go
A very unoriginal picture of the hot chick from twighlight.
Then some enviroment sketchs, quite quick im trying to get some colour into my pictures. Didn't really plan these which is why they look so vague, agh i need practice
