(this one I finished only 2 days ago)
My evertheme — dress for irish dance.
Also one more head training...
eh. For now I can't say nothing more...! Our new educational year really hard for me — old poor woman!
I'm already tired)))
Thank you very much DefiledVisions for brushes!))
I've not been here for a long time... Many things changed so I hope now I'll have more time to draw and to post my works here. Anyway please know that I always watch your updates friends! Thank you for them, it's always super to see your drawings and progress.
Rowan. It's main theme of this autumn and winter for me, cause I decided to make my textile ornament with this motive.
Some of my rowan studies.
And some drawings for fun.
Wasn't here for a long time. Also wasn't drawing for a long time.
My first attempt to returning in art activity: self-portrait based on my photo.
(green-haired at last!)

Man from Korpiklaani's covers:
My little fan-art based on David Farland's "Runelords" — Borenson
Fan-art based on Dragon Age II, my Hawk.
a little part of my Pskov-St. Petersburg practice which took place in this summer.
and my latest dreams about irish dance solo dress...
Hi to everyone! Wish you Happy New Year!
second one — hope one day I'll be able to draw it with color, I have big problems with landscapes. This is Khal Drogo and Daenerys, characters from Game of Thores by J. Martin, book I'm reading now.
Happy new year one more time friends! Wish you merry holidays and inspiration!
Some latest updates.
some fan arts inspired by Skyrim. and random sketch of ice mage.
the last one — irish dance solo dresses.

Thanks to beautiful girls who posed at ART PARK MOSCOW Fest at sketch sessions. Photos of them I used as refs to first 3 drawings.

I really like your traditional portraits! The fashion drawings at the first page are nice aswell! And the ones from st Petersburg aswell.
(Used this awesome work as my guide: http://depingo.deviantart.com/art/Grey-317316768)
& exercise pic, about 1,5 hours without ref but it's still undone.
also little irish dancer (this one is oldest of 3 represented pics)
I'm happy with my little successes! Working constantly never was my strong side but I try as much as I can.
xNatje, big thanks for your comment! wish you inspiration)
Fell ill at this Tuesday and it provokes me to start Skyrim Dawnguard!)) It took 2 days from my life but happily i found strength to say NO! Of course games are my best inspirers so I wont regret about this two days.
also I made tons of beautiful screenshots and now I have refs for weeks ahead
This girl I begun at PaintTool SAI program. I discover to myself that it's very comfortable to draw lines there. But when it comes to coloring... I just can't understand logic of brushes there so I proceeded with photoshop.
I started her without refs and I regret about it... It's my way - do something bad for about 45 times and finally understand things that other people knows from the beginning I already used refs for coloring but not for the pose. Let her be with body like from korean mmorpg)
Please if anyone looked here i would be very thankful for critics and advices. Unfortunately I cannot change my signature that's why I ask here!
I never stopped but unfortunately most of my sketches was made with my IPad.
I'll show them in next post.
Because of loads of study I decide to stop for now with CHOWs but I will return as long as I'll pass exams
These I made using my Ipad and stylus
and first CHOW of this year
Hello, friend, if you are passing by) Update.
Here are some pics for training which I draw using photo refs. I tried to make light and skin color more or less naturalistic...I also try to draw them quickly and use big-sized brushes. Green-haired one is me, i draw self-portrait using mirror so there's no photo.
i also proceed drawing super-quick pics using Skyrim screenshots as landscape references. My main problem are fore-middle-backgrounds. a also try not to forget about color.
This is my redrawed hanbok-inspired mini-collection illustration. i made it for exam which turned out for a little diploma-defence repetition)
and this is my "fashion illustration" for Composition exam. I created a fabric collection inspired by Space. My main inspiration sources was Star Wars and Mass Effect series. so i chose Asari as models)
i designed my new dress for irish dance competitions.
unfinished random character, i just thought that it's time to check what can i do without refs in sight.
And here are my 2 works i made for art contest. The topic was Red Riding Hood. I designed 2 different characters: Werewolf Hunter and Space Hunter. I took no place for them. If you are interested, please check out winner's works:
http://gmbox.ru/articles/itogi-konku...-holtine-gmbox winner's works starts from 2nd. if you want any translation from russian just ask.
and also i started to design character for CHOW 320 but wasn't able to finish it, but anyway want to show.
Saying truth, i badly need feedback. Lately i feel like i'm isolated)
Sorry, looks like i'm just very dissapointed about contest results, i gave all my forces and got nothing in back.
everything happens in life...)
Very cool stuff here, your lines are so organic! The watercolor stuff is great and you can really see the learning curve of your digital art in this sketchbook, well done and keep harnessing your creativity!

My (currently) terrible sketchbook
hello friends, I'm back to share some of my latest studies.
Here are some ref studies...
landscapes. Last are copies of Keith Parkinson art, draw them without using lineart (trying to make proportions on my own)
And faces. 2 works above made without lines too
I tried to use as big brushes as possible...
My CHOWs for this period of time
Drawing while lecture
and for fun: I visualized our(me+2 girls from my university) thoughts about how 2x2 Animation Night(dedicated to Stone Age) animators and actors must be presented to guests. and unfinished lady from my ooold fantasies.
As you can see I'm fan of oldschool fantasy of 80-90s and Keith Parkinson and Larry Elmore are my most favorite fantasy artists.
THANK YOU for your feedback! I was amazed!(after months of silence here ) Cause something is wrong with my e-mail and I do not receive any messages from CA...!
Monorok, yeep!) thank you for kind words!
Thujon, BlackDelphin, thanks a lot friends!

Excellent work! Your colors, form, and values are showing consistent progress! Difference between your digital on the first page and now is really inspiring. Keep it up and keep posting!
Very nice progress. I really like your sihouettes and rough strokes.
Here are some works from this month
As always faces and landscapes from refs and self study (used mirror) as always I try to use brushes and do not use helping lines, training my eye
Some life sketches (subway, lectures and myself)
my thoughts from new sketchbook and my old girl
Last CHOW. Thought about Blind Guardian CD Cover while drawing it (and listened to Ayreon )
Goyo, Thank you very much!
chevy28360, Thanks a lot for support!
Heyo! Saw your WIP for the white witch, thought I'd look around.
Great stuff here! I really like the fashion sense you have, especially on the dance dresses.
It seems however, that you are very uncomfortable with perspective. It looks like you try to avoid it whenever you can, and fake it in a lot of places, which is hurting your CHoWs and illustrations a bit. I realize that you are probably not that interested in perspective, and things like architecture (at least not as much as costume/character design). But placing objects in 3D space correctly is such a huge fundamental of art, that it greatly hinders progress if never learned.
So, my advice would be to not just to learn, but get very very comfortable with perspective. So much so that you don't even have to think about it when drawing. I avoided it myself for a long time because I thought it was boring, but I think that was a big mistake and would wish to help you avoid the same situation!
Hope I could help!
