Such a sublime atmosphere, my eye is drawn to all the focal points expertly.
Amazing how you've absorbed and learned from your woodland and foliage studies, you've infused that piece with the organic feel of nature really well!

Nothing big really, want to write some replies though
These are from life, 30 mins each
Sebastian Gromann: Thanks! Thanks for checking my stuff out
Ludic: Thanks man, will do
Star Eater: Thank you man, I love your work!
shockowaffel: Yeah I been a bit crazy with custom brushes lately, making them on the fly for each painting, don't know if I'll ever settle on some I like. I really recommend spending some time making all your own, it's very rewarding. The ones that aren't my own are all from blur's good brush set http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/C.../tower_of_evil
call0ps: Thanks man, I hope they are. Hehe, who knows yet?
PieMonster: Thanks, cheers for watching the stream. Which blue/green one? I want to revisit them, maybe a second piece of this panther series, develop the story a bit more, not sure.
V: Thanks man!
Metal Fingers: Thanks man!
Greenhouse: Thank you!
flurry: Thanks man, I post them on my facebook page, though I will announce here if it's more than a quick sketch and I remember
Xelar: I made a branch brush on the fly and used some old leaf brushes, and painted in the trunk, took about 10 minutes to do the whole tree probably.
insane lemur: Thanks!
DefiledVisions: Man I really want to travel soon so I do have a host of ref photos, hopefully next year! Thanks, most of the good ones are from blur's good brush set, http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/C.../tower_of_evil . I don't reuse my old brushes and make them anew for most big paintings, so they're pretty bespoke for one purpose and not much use to anyone beyond that
JaneMag: Thanks! I painted it on a seperate document and the guys on stream helped give pointers on it
Gpozzo: Thank you
winterfingers: Thank you, I definitely feel more satisfied with my environments so I'm really trying to bring my figures up to scratch behind the scenes. Will do!
david skeleton: Thanks! It all comes with practice as long as you keep painting and studying. Let me know if you need any pointers for environments.
Shadow Stalker: Thank you!
CONtra: Thanks man. I was wondering about them, and you're right, I was consiering simplifying them down or removing them but never got round to it.
Raffix: Hey that sounds good, I will talk to guys at malls about it tonight and try and make it soon. Great work on your cast studies btw.
Alexanderjr: Thank you!
Koto: Thanks man, yeah I'm happy the studies are paying off so much more than I expected, need to streamline my study/original stuff process a bit still though
Spent a couple hard days working on this (the first image):
Despite much work the 24bit pngs are still really massive files, there's something I can do to fix it but it'll have to wait for another time.Fixed this with some clever compression methods.
Still a couple places in it that need painting over, but whatever
Was cleaning out my basement and found these two, painted from life
and a totemo moe collab with a friend

tehmeh: fantastic work as always. such an inspiration!
I am very very curious how you managed to do that 3D version of that painting on your website? I'm looking to design something like that for my band, but I wouldn't know where to begin with trying that out. Very cool and original.
-I often post from my phone; so please excuse the typosSketchbook
I love those portraits. Sooooo simple
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
So inspiring sb. I love the baby in the jar.
man..all I have to say is
That panther piece on your homepage with the added depth effect was really cool!
The piece I was talking about was one of the pieces you were sketching on while painting the panther piece. I was on a really bad screen which makes everything way too dark when I was watching your stream, but I think it was one of the darker forest/jungle pieces, and it was more towards blue than the others if I'm remembering correctly.
Since you haven't posted the sketches you were doing on the stream I'm not really sure, but I hope it clarifies what I meant somewhat. :p
Hello mate, i have a question. I think that you do happen to work in painter from time to time, correct me if i'm wrong.
I'm trying to learn the program ( painter12 ) and i'd like you if you could name some all purpose brushes and a blender that veryone seems to use. I saw some youtube videos and they all have some kind of airbrushes a blender and maybe an oil brush, but there's just so many with so many settings that i feel lost :<
Love the collab

You have a great eye for color. I'm jealous. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more!
Dunno if i'm worthy posting in this thread, but i'll do it anyways. You got some crazy awesome stuff man! Big fan right here (oh god, I sound like a fanboy, but yeye)
I like the style on the totemo moe collab thing, hehe, guess it's not your normal style drawings. Keep the updates coming man! Love seeing new stuff
Smashing stuff. Beyond inspirational!
I will have a blast going through all these pages.
Guy or gal oh so fine
please take a look
and maybe drop a line
in my sketchbook
haven't posted here in a while, I had an incident of trying to drink the alcohol out of the baby jar, only to be told at the hospital it was embalming fluid
luckily the hospital has xbox and serves cat
Call0ps: thanks man, i was happy with that figure painting, will have to go hunterian again soon!
Rustveld: Thanks! Which temple? Not that I remember going back and completing many.
Syle: The plugin is from http://webdev.stephband.info/parallax.html . I spent a good several days repainting the painting at a higher res and splitting it to layers, then another 2 days figuring out a way to compress all the .pngs, ended up finding out more about png compression and how photoshop handles it than I'll ever need to use, but I'm happy with the result. I'd probably use flash next time for inter-pixel smoothness and easy cutting/better loading times, web standards be damned.
Eyecager: Thanks a lot! I love her too!
Metal Fingers: Love ya man!
st.s: Thanks! Just ripping off zhang lu really
Aryeh: Thanks man, though I'd like to try and paint a big cat picture that isn't badass, that is a real challenge
thebigchild293: Thank you
PieMonster: Thanks! You know, I am still not sure even going through as the blue one is bad, but maybe I am missing one atm. I may go back at a later date and fix a few of them up anyway, some were really working I thought.
Icecold: I never work in painter i'm afraid, just CS5/CS6 - tried asking the Painter section of the forums?
Koto: Yeah it was fucking fun
Art Minded: Thanks, what a compliment!
Alex Eh: Thanks! It was a lot of effort, so I'm happy people enjoy it
vatteh: Thanks a lot!
PHATandy: Thank you, I will
telohss: Haha well I appreciate anyone commenting in here, so thanks for taking the time to do so! The collab I just coloured, the easy part. My friend did all the drawing, I wish I could draw like that
kevlar jens: Thank you, thanks for going through the pages too, though not the earlier ones those are horrible
