Very nice shading, the guns seem to be in a different perspective/angle in reference to the face of the guys holding them, unless you are supposed to hold them in an angle, I've never paintballed before.
yeah, i agree with robmorfin about the guns and the eyes. to me, well, i've played paintball before too and usually you look and aim with the gun. unless that's some sort of strategy that i don't know of. nice renders. this feels very 'comicbook' like.
I'm looking for work!
Well Im glad you guys noticed that, in paintball when you shoot, you are actually lobbing the paintballs into your opponent, which means you dont necesarily have to necessarily look down the barrel, you look to see where the paintballs are falling (specially when the opponent is many yards away.)
Here are some other pictures that are not paintball related
Nice start to your sketchbook. Paintball magazines are good ref for sci-fi character concepts.
Thank everyone for your response, I will be posting some more of my art, and any critique of my work is greatly appreciated. This is the first time I ever put my work out in public and would like to see how I can improve.
My goal right now is to create a short comic based on paintball,(will be posting updates soon) Something that shows action but the hard part is coming up with a story.
Heres an update on the comic book style paintball drawing.
i,m new here too mate....some nice shading with the pencil work
Any paintballers out there?
awsome rendering work. and great movement in your stances but i think your gestures/postures feel a bit disproportional or unatural in stance particularly in the ankles, torso. play w the spine and push those gestures. anyway awsomeness, i love the value range u cover. keep it up.
Here are some Quick sketches
Thanks Kawakaze, thanks Envisor. I will take those tips; work on the spine and ankles and I will post more colored panels of originaly pencil drawings.
Very nice drawings... I used to be into paintball pretty hardcore... I havent had much time lately...
Your shadings pretty insane! great work on that part!, i love the oriental android warrior as well, hope we see more along the lines of that.
All in all a brilliant start to the book. Hopefully we'll see some work on studying figures and proportions not that u need to mind. But just to let the rest of us know that your on top on things!
Why do u stick your nose in other families business'. Come on dude don't u have any HOBBIES?
My sketchbook beckons, ave a look see?
Here are some old quick sketches Is just a concept but I plan to build from them.

hey thanks for stopping by my thread and for the compliments.
You're on the right track and everything is looking good so far. Start as soon as possible with studying anatomy. Also try out various media and have fun whilst doing so - that way what you learn will stick. It's all about mileage - the more you draw and paint the better you will become.
Keep grinding the lead!
Thanks for the advice Brendan. I really apreciate that you took time to review and respond to my artwork. I admire your artwork and will certainly take your advice.
Hey Bazooka, good renderings, you are definitely on the right way Besides of starting to study the human anatomy, try also to do first a rough board of the story you want to show in the storyboards, try first to figure out how the action works, before you render the frames. Simple lineworks, rough sketches before going a step further and clean up.
Hi Bazooka, i think the other guys are rigth. u have good potenzial, please post more stuff, keep drawing and work out ure anatomy. I think u need to experiment whit different colors.
Hi BazookaJoe .
I love your draws.
Please send me an email. I want to make me a tatoo of one of your designs.
Hello Everyone at concept art. I've recently been inspired to create more art so so I will start by posting a quick sketch I drew.
Hey Joe, your passion for paintball is more than obvious I'd say ... Your contrast-values are great, one thing I need to focus on every time I'm working on a painting (cause I'm a coward in using hard contrasts myself I have to admit )
Anatomy ... Naaah I really don't want to start about it, it's certainly the most quoted and at the same time most hated point of critique in here (and you know already). Guess your drawings will turn out great once you did a few studies for you have a good feeling for shadows and highlights.
Keep it up!
