Newest piece looks like a big step up to me good jobbb. For your pencil work try and be a bit neater/refined with the blocking in, it can help make the read of the form and the general figure much better.
youre coming along great! your digital stuff is improving a lot, and that insect study is great.
nice composition on that last landscape.
as for the final piece you used as your avatar, its very nicely done, one small crit comes to mind which i hope can be helpful: the perspective of the stone-ground seems to not be aligned properly to the figure. it almost looks more like a horizontal wall than a flat surface. other than that, great work!
rumpenstiltzkin: Thanx! aks9: Thank you for good crit, I really should've pay more attention to background. Well,I hope to get better) Sickbrush: Thanx! Matija Vuk: Thank you! I'm glad you like it ))))
Loads of progress here! Keep em coming. Great draftsmanship skills!
One thing I'll point out that I'm noticing on this page is that your backgrounds are all pretty much empty. Perhaps its your intention to do so but even with minimal adjustments that is smart design you can enhance the background and strengthen the piece as a whole.
That last one's really gorgeous! I glanced back at the first page out of curiosity, and I have to say that your improvement is seriously impressive. It'd be nice to see more finished work from you though - do you have a particular goal for your work that you're working towards, something specific that you'd like to do with your work one day?
dierat: Thank you))) Well, one of my goals is to work as illustrator for famous card games, like "Magic: The Gathering", for example. At the moment I work as concept artist for company that makes casual games for iPad, so there is not much time left for personal pieces. But I try to do my best))
My attempt to study perspective, not really happy about it, should practice more....
Edward B: Thank you! I hope so too) BlackDelphin: Thanx!!! I really try to improve my colors madekart: Thanx))) aks9: Thank you! As for that perspective sketch - I don't know what the problem is... just something is bothering me, have no idea ))) But I'm happy you like it)
I just looked at all 17 pages of this thread! And your work is fantastic! Its very inspiring, and has inspired me enough to start a sketchbook and get back into drawing, after a two year hiatus!
I think the perspective sketch is pretty good, i'm like that about my drawings as well, even though they're good sometimes i think there's something missing, or it's not enough. But you know what, just keep practicing at it! Keep up the great work, and thanks for inspiring me!
Very nice updates girl! I love all the pencil sketches but especially the muscle studies. It feels like you're going a tad overboard on the textures in your recent experiments, but then sometimes you have to push it too far to figure out where the line is. The texture in the last one is really nice - subtle but effective. The two recent portrait studies have a wonderful sense of form and value, but watch the proportions - the placement and size of the ear is a bit weird in post #501 and the last one feels a bit squashed vertically and the eyes are on a slant. Anyway, wonderful work, it's always a pleasure to stop by and see what you're up to!
