I think your problem is that your not blocking in shapes and getting the propotions right first. Yours shading and blend need work the transition from on color to the next is really noticable. I guess If I had to say it, think of the features as more of abstract. So yea hope th is helps!
I will need to be packing and such, going to live in another town for two months so I will probably not be updating anything for a few days because of this. But be sure to keep an eye out for my return in about 2-3 days. cheers y'all.
Diarum- Thanks for the helpful comment. Though I still dont really get it, blocking in shapes? I am very bad at all these sentences which regards art I am sorry I am trying to learn. Think I know what u mean by more abstract, more like objects. Will try to keep it in mind.
This is a start at a woman, trying not to use lines but values for the sketch. Will continue in this one. Only 2 min this is. Take care everybody! Seeya soon again.
I know I said I wouldnt update in a while. But I had to take out my wacom here in the train, made some changes To M.Ali. He is still looking a bit wierd, the left eye is all done again but still not as good as I want it. changed a lot really, moved the nose and mouth to the left, the ear a bit down, made some hair to the eyebrows which I loved also.
Well critique and help with this one is welcomed Also I want to tell you that I really learn while doing these, sitting and looking what is looking wrong and redoing stuf make me learn a lot, atleast I feel this way. Cheers!
try to think about volume and form! now its looks flat especially nouse! keep working dude!
I love the bird and the eye with fur, very very good, and also I like the way you are experimenting with the hand art work.. I must say I havnt really tackled hands or feet yet, as I know they are really hard.
Nice work, keep adding more :-)
Vandog- thanks m8. I am trying hehe but I have lots to learn, hope u see improvement from my first portrait on the first page Volume and form it is! cheeers
yay nice progress! the lady kneeling down, i think you should find yourself a reference picture, its a very hard pose to do from imagination! keeeeep them coming!!
Much going on, new job, new ppl, new home for the summer so I have little time drawing, will try as soon as I am settled. Cheers
Alexandra- Thank you very much. Hands and feet are damn hard, maybe this is why ppl say that u need to do them a lot try some time! Im sure theyll get better and better. Cheers
kmoeini- Thanks I am glad ppl see improvement
Par- got a ref for that, just didnt pose it take care friend
Twan- thx for that comment. I guess in the prosess I stop looking at the ref and just go from memory, a large fault in my brain that I am trying to get rid off haha. I didnt realise until you said so, I am greatful for that insight.
Gogo- Thanks girl i will be drawing so f***** much when I am back to school! These comments really make me wanna draw more.

Niss- Very glad for that post! thx I am glad u see improvement!
In this long time away youve probably forgotten about me haha.
Im sorry I have been so busy with work this summer, I havnt had a quite calm afternoon for 2 months. Only one week work left then I will be painting frequently again. I am very ill today so I have been laying in bed all day, it seems I need to be sick to get the calm to paint haha.
Just drawing Iron man from a poster, about 1 hour work so far. My first try with some colors also My Wacom is far to dusty, I promiss to get it going again.
I will look through all your SB's as soon as I have the time, bet youve done some awesome stuf this summer!
Cheers! / Brain
Hey again. Trying to work from values, no sketch made. Think this is a fun to draw, mostly with big brush and as little lines possible. I know I almost never finish work Ive begun with, need to work on that. the first hour is always the most fun one imo haha.
An easy way to work on your work ethic is just working on one piece for a while. Sometimes you get sooo tired of it you want to scream, but if you keep going it really helps you finish things. After a while, you can work on two or three pieces at a time so you don't get so bored . It REALLY helped me, even though it was pretty tough. Really try to finish this woman you've started, even if you need to take a couple days break or something. I believe in you!
What an improvement!!! Great work! Great mate! Keep it up!
dude! long time no see! how are things? your work is looking better i see! the last one is great! i like her emotion! you should be careful with her lips though, dont define the lover lip's outer lines that strongly keep it up!
i know I always has excuses for being away but now I can only say that I have tried to draw but it just didnt go well. But I think my flame has been lighted again. Was playing this game yesterday, infamous. And I noticed the cool art in the "comics" between missions. So I googled about and found some awesome artwork. This is a style that I would like to learn for real. So 10 hours later here is a reaper, one of them badguys from the game will draw more artwork from this game! and later I'll try some else but to use this style.
Niss- A very good tip, I just used that, worked on this for 10 hours, not a single stroke on anything else. It helped me to focus and I think it came out quite good. so thank you!
m.j - thank u very much!
Naidy- i am very glad you do. Thanks and take care
Par- Im fine, just havnt had the "go" for drawing lately. But i think I am on my way back. Hope u doin okey and Ill be sure to check out ur SB right away. Cheers friend
Hey dude, Start posting some more jeez.... lol the painting looks good. 10 hours @_@ man I've never really spent more then like 3 hours tops, But thats not a good thing.. Keep it up bro
hey Diarum long time. Yea I will start doing that thx haha, well 10 hours is a long time, but I have been sick for a week now so figured what else could be better to do than to really take my time and finish something. Try to focus on one thing for a longer period, it can be frustrating but when its done it feels great Ill look at ur SB right away sir. byee
The first pic is my first acrylic painting that I did in school just before summer break. The second is just a pirate sketch for a thing in school. The third, I know it looks a bit weird, I just drew it on my break the other day, was looking through a book about drawing, caught some nice pics on faces and did my own version, 10-15 min sketch. Working on something on my wacom atm, wait and see cheers
Hello again This is what we can call fanart for the game Infamous. I love the style that they are using in this game as I said earlier.
This one is not finished, will put on some shadows and highlights in the coloring as soon as I get the time. And there will most likely be a background too. 3 hours on it so far.
So stay tuned and keep drawing friends!
I believe most of u wont see the dif but still. Im havin trouble with shadows but I do think it looks good even without it but I will try, the hard things are important to practice ofc
Today my friend comes over, we are gonna discuss a future project of doing a graphic novel. this lies far in the future, but we will most likely start to plan and make sketches really soon and work with this for a long time As soon as anything is drawn I will post it here! take care ppl
oh , your last drawing shows your improvement through all your page at once . keep drawing you are doing good .
thank you very much. I was very glad when I read your comment. As I said with that pic I think I have found a style that I really like and I will try to develope this style more into my own. The finest comment of all is when ppl say that they see improvement and mean it, this makes me continue to draw. Take care
