Bethany- thanks for all the great tips. About the hands, Ill try that the next time.
thanks and Ill keep that in mind. But it is really hard! but Ill try to learn something every time, but today I just focused on the pose. But I know I sometime forget about the anatomy and to look that the arms are long enough etc.
two hand studies with my marker pen and some drastic contrasts. need to sleep but I just cant stop drawing
Kung- thanks I read and answered there as well. I am reading Loomis and trying to get the construction of the hand but it is hard thx again seeya
I think I forgot to show u guys this. Its a small comic for children about a turtle who looses his shell but finds it again was for a school assignment to make some sort of comic.
sorry for the bad pic. Right now I am sitting and reading Loomis about hands.
I really need to learn to draw with shapes and blocks to get the feeling of 3d. My stuf almost always look flat so this is a big thing i need to get better at. And I will
Nice studies, i really like the one with the pen of woman body. It shows that you have understanding in form and pose/ movement. Maybe you should avoid for now doing big hard black shadows as on the last with the hands. Focus on forms and see how you can shade with lines the basic shadow areas. Keep up and take care man!

Naidy- Long time no see Im glad u see improvement. I know, trying to read and practice that now but it is hard. take care
some hand studies, been reading Loomis and other stuff on the internet. It is hard! any ideas on how to think about volume and drawing with blocks? any where to read about this?
some different approaches on the female body, some value studies with charcoal. think Im gonna find me some sportsmen to draw.
became some studies of childrens faces instead with values
think the girl became pretty cute. goodnight!
never drawn an elderly so thought I should try it, alot of wrinkles. need to sleep so have to finish this another day. not really happy with the left eye but the pen is to dark to use an eraser :/
Hah, I can see you're practicing hands like crazy. I really need to get on that .
You're working your ass off! Well done!
Things sure are starting to improve, keep it up.
Naidy- Hey thanks haha, i try to draw when I have free time, most of the days I draw 1-4 hours. atleast something everyday! Glad u liked the kid, think she is cute and has a sad look which I like.
Deadly- I am, its hard so I need to make more! you get on with those hands dude!
Hydro- thanks, I am glad it shows that I really try and that I spend like so much time on getting better
made the cap on the old man. This was a rather quick one, 1 hour maybe in total but I just wanted to try and draw someone old. Its a bit blurry and messy cause I used an 8B extra dark pencil. will try and draw with mechanical pen again cause I see alot of great artist are using them. But sometime its very fun to use a soft pen and just draw messy
Will make an attempt drawing his beard, but Im afraid it will destory it all so thats why I upload him now.
btw I bought a new pen today, its a marker but with a soft tip. Ill try it out later now I need to get my ass to the gym.
Nice portrait. I can tell it's an old man by all the wrinkles . Faces are just as rough to sketch as hands, I swear.
good work mate! sorry again for the late post, but better late than never you know? youre really having some awesome progress there with the figures, just keep doing them and youll rock sooner than you can think! its great to see you tackling such difficult poses all the time, it will pay up! keep up and dont lose motivation!
Deadly- thanks, haha Im glad u see that, was an experiment. Yeah they are damn hard.
Parsa- hey missing u m8. it is most surely better late than never! thanks, glad u think so, I try really hard to get better. I will never loose motivation, Ill always aim higher. thanks for helping me all the time. hope ur doin fine.
Kung- hey m8. thanks, I will begin doing that. Its just that doing stuf like that is booring, but I know I have to someday so might as well start now. cheers
note to self - practice fundamentals, basics, shapes, still life etc. read books about drawing, Loomis and more.
Did take a trip to the library and got me some new books, I hope Ill read them night to u guys
Heeey! Nice sketchbook!! Really love the eagles on the first page and the child is awesome keep posting, wanna see more!
Rebecka- hey Im glad u dropped by. thanks, what kind words I will keep posting my friend. you2.
today I have my third session of qroqie, I still dont know how to spell it please help me out I feel embarassed? I will try to look for key angles and the point of weight today.
have a good day yall
Great bunch of studies bro! Like kungfoowiz said, if you want to get good at creating the illusion of 3d in your work you'll need to master drawing basic forms in perspective. I still do this almost everyday as a warm up before I start drawing. As for books, one I can recommend you is vilppu's drawing manual. Good luck and keep working hard mate!
Fantasy- thanks I will get on with that. Ill look that up. cheers m8
I had a 1 hour nude model study today, I will just say it like that cause I dont know how to spell it.
one hour is a rather long time drawing a model. we had poses of 30 sec to 5 min, most of them were like 2-3 min poses. Made tons more than these but scanning takes forever so this'll do.
need to start taking the point of weight into mind, maybe draw the line of the spine first, hmm.
have been reading about how the bones fit in the body and how they react when you move. great to know really.

Great gesture studies my man. Keep it up
Also, I love how you have the dedication to keep scanning things multiple times and uploading them. Sheesh, I got tired of that so fast >_>
Deadly- thanks, I feel like some of them look kind of good, trying to use lesser lines, trying to nail like one perfect long line for a long area of the body. Rather then making tons of lines. hehe I hate scanning but I wanna show u guys what I do and to have most of my stuff in the same place.
This is just a photo, value study.
going to the dentist now, if I dont have alot to fix I will be happy and draw alot later today
Parsa- thanks, I will do! promiss They do really help me progress. thanks hehe I try not to skip over the hard stuff.
making some nude studies of a girl I know while she read a book at the sofa. It is so hard! But I feel I learn something every time I do this, drawing from life really beats everything else I think.
Need to learn how to draw for shorted legs and arms, they are the hardest imo.
Trying to make longer correct lines. trying to get secure and confident with my lines.
Hope u all had a good day!
valuetraining with charcoal.
I feel like I have got stuck a bit, dont really know where to go now. I feel like I keep in doing the same things over n over, need something new. Maybe buy me some clay to form simple shapes and put them to a lightning source to see the shadows and the values. hmm.
guess we all got days when we feel we walk but we dont get forward.
hey there! as you said you need some tips on what to practice, id say youve been working really hard on anatomy and figures, so i think a bit of a change would be in place, dont you think? how bout trying to do some environments and landscapes? I suggest using photos as reference if youre uncertain! keep it up bro!
