HAHA! Nooo way dreamer! You aint good enough to paint discount-corflakes-illustrations!
Sorry, but that is out of your range of skills ...
I think there is a chance. But you definitely should work harder!
No doubt. If you keep up that work we'll see you on the artbook of Warcraft 4!
Dude are you blind?! Get you ass up and ask them for work ... NOW!
Hey Lateman I am sorry about that, I wasn't Being a bitch (at least I hope I wasn't being one) .... my life was being a bitch it's an American expression meaning life was rather strenuous last year. i was in the process of moving for over half of last year, and went through some medical issues earlier on that year, completely lost my will power and inspiration to draw, that kinda stuff.
By the way this latest piece is AMAZING! I love the colors so awesome!
Hey that finished piece looks good, nice one!
Anyway, this will be interesting link for you if you do not know allready: http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/ Look over there about latest post of lecture in blizzard entertaiment, also a quote of information:
I drew a portrait of Jeremy after the lectures. I asked him what advice he’d give to a young artist who dreams of working at a place like Blizzard. “Everyone wants to be a character designer,” he said. But portfolios that show other skills are more likely hires. Get good at environments, backgrounds, props, and vehicles. A generalist who can draw and think well is always valuable. "

Great SB. It's really good to see you have a goal like this one. It's not going to be easy.
Great colors overall. Keep on going
wtf.... mal ehrlich ich habe kp wie das bei dir vorher war.
Nur das es jetzt gut ist...
was machst den beruflich das du 8 Stunden täglich zeichnest?
if you find this book could be of big help. It covers acting and posture. I think that in your work figures is always look like posing and not like acting.
You have a nice rightym and flow of the strokes. What i like the most is the gray panel with couple of color thumbnails. If you use this kind of dynamic poses and compositions and render it as you do for the rest it could work better.
Imho, giving some setting and action pose can only help to the character design.
thanks for all the feedback! will reply to each one later cuz im on work ... but whanted to post the finished piece of that girl. im not realy glad how it had turned out ... however....
@ Malakuko: thank you alot! would be cool to see you more often around here!
@ JiR: danke danke. also ich arbeite in hannover als conceptartist bei ner multiplatform videospielefirma. thx fürs vorbei schauen
@ vatteh: glad that you like it! yeah do that, hope to see you soon.
@ Danilo: first, thanks for the link im almost abot to buy that book. looks freakin interressting and im sure it would help me also with my weakpoints. youre right with your oppinion. my figures allways look a way posed. i had your advise in mind when i where working on some newer stuff. so a realy big thanks to your helpfull critique.
@ JustinBeckett: wow thanks man. i love your speedfigures alot! cool stuff to hear from you.
so i guess a lot of people just asking themselfes why i dont post studies, or if i do them at all. the answer is: yes, it do and try to do them as often as i can. the thing is, quite all of my studies are done traditionell and because of my not existing scanner im not able to post that stuff. i think there is some usefull work in between. at least i should kick my ass to load them up because there are about 10 pages full of pencils but i allways miss this task ... about 9-10 hours work a day, school, gym, friends, fam and all this shit just keeping me from finishing it. also im realy low on money and its allways a deal to buy something like a scanner or other stuff, even if its kinda cheap to afford these days. but maybe you know this ... just kickin all the things form one day to another. i hope i can upload that soon befor i start to think all what i done so far is f***ing weak
stay tuned guys! youre one of my motivating sources!!!
Daaaamnnn Lateman goood job bro! You just broke through and made giant improvements! I love seeing this kind of improvement.....its so inspiring.
Sweet work here Lateman, the development of your new WIP will be nice to see. Only thing I'm really going to crit is the design of your recent space soldier lady. I don't understand the low rider pants with high tech armor. It doesn't feel very unified. The rendering, color, and values are nice, but some more thought in the design process will be of tremendous benefit.
hallo guys, at first i whant to thank you for the comments and critiques. i espacially whant to reply on Morgados opinion - Yes! youre finding it right! i think too that my newest stuff is boring.
i think its retarded stupid boring crap, if i go into detail but ... ok letz leave it like that. im not complayning to what your said, you just speek out what me and i guess several other guys hav in mind when they are looking thourgh this showcase.
i feel like drawing isnt fun to me anymore. its just pressure, frustration and agression. two days ago i messed up the half of my blackbock, scretched teared appart whole sides, and leaved it outside in the rain. its almost like this whole paining thing is just maken me upset. allways the pressure to your self to get better. drawing the same studies all day long, and never impoving, never learning. like i just draw then without brain. all the fun i had with paining once is gone. i hate every line i throw done, hating every color i choose.
once again i whant to quit everything. i whant no attention and at all im a pretty selfasteamed guy ... i just whant the fun back. the fun i had when i where 14.
my head feels f***ing empty.
