Well, scrapped that expanded thumbnail for something more dynamic:
Fiddling around with some stuff:
Slapping this together:
A bit further along:
Yeah, the perspective's a bit off. Any critiques would be rather helpful.
Reworking it a bit, with a bit of flipping:
Something silly I whipped up:
Update on the fight scene:
More wacky stuff:
Still plugging away:
Been working on something, and here's my progress thus far:
I gotta say, doing this design really feels like working with clay for some reason.
Update on that:
Did some really quick paint-ups yesterday:
Something new for the new year:
Got a nice big new sketchbook as well, so sketches may show up again. Eventually.
Quick update with a sketch:
Yeah, the leg anatomy is kinda weird...
Heh, yeah, I know the legs are screwed up on that sketch.
Something I threw together in a few hours so far:
Working on something:
The red lines are just to tighten up the figure and will be integrated into the coloring.
It looks like your using small brush strokes with opacity. Although in #342 the cheek for instance is very blended and seamless. That's what I'd be shooting for. Block in the dominant colors then blend using larger brushes.
The flatten and simplify section in this tutorial explains it I think.
Just keep pluggin away, 342's my favorite so far.
Yeah, actually, I've been working with a self-imposed and rather stupid handicap since I refuse to change the opacity and flow of my brush since I've been working on inking the comic pages. The small brush thing, I don't really have an excuse for. That's just abject stupidity on my part. Well, more stupid than the former, which is pretty stupid by itself.
Well, some sketchbook pages:
Your character designs are solid. Very good placement.
#342 is fantastic. I hope you will refine it even further.
Did a fast paint-up of a sketch I'd done a few months back:
Yeah, lighting's a bit weird.
Testing out some color:
characters look a little stiff lol nice progress on the photo rendering on 334
Quick update on the armor, where I'm trying to learn how to render hard objects...
Great stuff man
