An ok start. My sig has the usual names of authors for anatomy books. You want to make sure you know anatomy, and draw from real life. Even pictures of people if you cant access a class that uses a model.

The usual staples for anatomy:
Hey, so far I'm diggin' what you've got!
First thing, pick up a book on anatomy! Anything with lots of pictures of muscles and underlying structure, with cutouts and the works. Pick one you like to look at, you'll be going back to it often.
Then, definitely sketch out the bone structure of people in different poses and forms. Not so much to get the intricacies of the way bones curve, but to understand the rigid frame behind everything.
The human body is really difficult to do, but really satisfying once you get it!
Once you've got the bone structure down (which probably won't take too long) head toward the muscles. Start drawing people without skin. Do this from lots of different angles, and with all parts of the body (DON'T forget the legs!).
Then toss some skin on em, and observe how light spreads across skin and how it folds under certain movements. If you can, stand shirtless and draw yourself (with as many mirrors as possible) doing different movements, ranging from minor to extreme, and note the prominences and folds on the skin. This is really useful if you don't have the opportunity to get a model
I can't think of too much else right now, but by doing tons and tons of studies and just sketching out a quick pose here and there, youl'l have the human body down in a jiffy.
Ah! The only thing that detracts from the images above is that the chest has a strongly elliptical ribcage, so it doesn't quite look 3D. A ribcage is slightly ellipsed, but not too much (youl'l get a feel for it over time). Otherwise, I love the dynamics of the bodies you drew, and the details are clean!

You can even just go to a mall or a coffee shop and draw people there.
It's hard to judge your work as is because there's only one picture, but anatomy books, pick them up. Cannot stress that more.

You're making the hips and waists on some of your character's too narrow. Be careful with that.
My hips are definatley off, I think the obliques look off too. But keep in mind that through all these I am not using any reference just my mind and where I remember the muscles go. I'll use referance and study surface anatomy later.

I'm having alot of trouble with this. As in understanding how stuff looks at certain angles. And I'm having alot of trouble figuring out my gesture lines for side views and just alot of other confusing things that I've reached. Probably won't update for like a month. At the end of the month hopefully I'll be alot more improved.

Make sure to do the "mirror" test with all of these. (Take your drawing to a mirror and hold it up). I think there's a bit of a slant in your figures that you'll be able to see and correct.
I see professionals in nude life drawing sessions with pocket mirrors checking their stuff from time to time, even.
Also really measure accurately. Use "head height" and divide that into the WIDTH of your characters as well. They're a bit too tall and spindly right now.

Oh, and don't worry about star rankings or how your stuff looks to other people. Update as much as you can... for you!
This sketchbook should be about your own improvement, and nothing more. If you're looking for a ranking, you're looking to have a judgement passed on your work as it is right now--as if you were done. That should not matter.
In fact, it will be exciting to look at your old stuff compared to your new stuff, and your thread would inspire many people to see where you began and where you've gone.
Just remember, when you're drawing without reference at these stages, you're guessing instead of knowing where things are. Make sure you're doing a healthy dose of both refs and observation when you're doing these, because you can't draw what you don't know.
My figures are slanted, thankyou, didn't even notice before. And yeah I'm mixing referances now with my mind. And found the posemaniacs site everyone talks about, which is actually what confused me, when I realized I didn't understand how things look at certain angles.
Good going. You should definately read a bit about balance, it looks like a lot of your figure are falling over now. Bridgeman has a chapter on balance which you might want to check out.

Thanks alot Maunty. I didn't have to pay for anything. I'm going to mix my riven pheonix dvds with these bridgeman studies. I probably won't post pictures for like 4 months, but when I do I should have a ton.
