I've sketched up the positioning for a painting I'm making in traditional media and I'm having a quick fiddle with photoshop to figure out the best colour and tone to use before I pull out the paints.
I'm not sure whether its the sky, the mid-ground or the foreground that's off, nor whether my problem is tonal difference or colour. I've stared at it for too long to see anything meaningful anymore. Can anyone throw a quick tip or two at me?
Not so worried about anatomy or proportionality. The pencil sketch has those elements down accurately to copy onto the canvas.
Uploaded the original and a key to what's where in case its hard to see. I'm going for a slight haze between the fore and midground and a kind of mid to late afternoon hue. The foreground characters are almost completely in darkness but still have enough light to see facial features and clothing.
