What a funny sketchbook!
Like already said, awesome expressions on your characters.
The ant picture on page 1 made me laugh.
You should study values and the use of colors more often, to give your paintings the "finished look", some of your paintings are a bit flat in my opinion. But don´t loose your style by doing so.
Keep up the good work!
major changes, going with a definitive northrend yeti theme. still experimenting with some elements to bring it all together, so any crits or suggestions would be awesome going to change the belt for sure, feels out of place now.
i never designed armor before
what's up machine? I have a question, how did you make the lines of the wakaw's tail? I have no idea how to make the lines smooth and clean like that. thanks
You have some beautiful line work on the first page and your colouring is lovely, just so delicate. I can see what Mr Chow was on about with using harder brushes and more contrasts but the way you use colour to get the depth works really well anyway[the tree monster-thing especially].
Keeping an eye on.
good stuff man. i really like the sketch of the guy with the wraps on his face. it was especially awesome to me for some reason. i like the wow sketches as well ;D
DSG 1518: Creature • HORRIFYING BEAST HAS FLESH & BONE JACK-O-LANTERN-LIKE HEAD

do you have a deviantART profile? some of your cartoony styles look really familiar!!
The clockworksnail Experience- SKETCHBOOK!!!
just some morning exercise. a strange machine-man i met in dreams.
Porg: thank you haha, i'm hoping i'm not using colors that are too bright/saturated now, but it's fun pushing myself out of comfort zones at least.
Faulks: thanks! glad you liked the bandaged man, he's a character in a story i'd like to illustrate someday.
Serio: thank you, i think i rely too much on 'our reality' for creature design, even though we do have crazy critters.. so taking that into account i'm trying to go for wilder alien creatures
MLE: you too~
Clockworksnail: i don't really have a DA, but i don't think i exactly draw very unique
Whoa man you got some insane drawings
Lovin' the creature/characters very cool!
you got awesome shading skills man, really brings everything to life in the pics!
hey machine sorry for the late reply man! about the line issue, everything you said makes a lot of sense, zooming out and all but I still cant get it right, maybe its just because my tablet is too big (9x12 intuos3) I'll have to keep trying, thanks a lot for your help!
for the ship I used a default photoshop wet brush, started with black & white making a random black block and then I started to cut edges until I found a interesting shape, defined it some more and then I added a general colors on a multiply layer, I added the last color touches on a normal layer on top.
finally for the crisp effect I added a filter, cant remember wich1 exactly I think it was "added edges" (dont know if thats the name for it on the english version, I work with th spanish ver), I did pretty much the same for the gundam. thats all
your last updates look great, you are getting better fast! may I ask why you use Sai instead of photoshop, does it have any advantages? also how do you make that smoke effet that comes out of your last character's head? it looks great!
been a while, save me from finals! just one more week to go... crunched an xmas concept out between homework and passing out, it's a heavy metal reindeer.
have a safe and healthy winter
inspired by Brutal Legend/Double Fine - huge fan!
Good thumbnails man. The proportions of the some of the gas mask ones are a tad off though. Nice b&ws, now moar colorrr
goodgood! I like your thumbnails and I love your heavy metal reindeer!
