Hello, - First Post!
My name is Peter Braeley i work full time job in retail for a couple years but on the side been lately working on some art pieces in summer just wanna to share with you guys. i want to get into the gaming industry, for environmental artist and or concept. What do you think?
i hope i did this right.
C&C are welcome!!
I would advise the study both of actual nature and of well-composed and painted landscape scenes, especially by the painters of Picturesque movement and the Hudson River School. Your scenes are not bad, but contrasting them to the aforementioned should show you many ways to improve. For the type of work you mention you will also have to do other subjects, especially figures, buildings, creatures and vehicles.
Too much texture, not enough form.
