With your last few studies I see some habits creeping back in, start off your drawings with simple shapes and then put in the outline and details into these basic shapes. Look at the Loomis books for ideas, and those same principles apply not only to the human body but to all other things you draw.
Hope that helps and good luck with your next studies bro
Hi guys I've been away for quite a while. I've been busy with my driving license stuff. I'm trying to get back to my old habits now. The whole thing threw me off completely. A lot of stress.
I'll post again when I've got something decent P;
Sketches from yesterday.
I don't feel like showing everything, everything ain't worth showing.. so I decided to only show what's decent.
Got to practice drawing ears..
More coming today/tomorrow.
And by the way, here's my whole folder of reference. Mostely nudes. Over 7000 images.
Download it while it's up, you never know if it gets taken down....

Thanks man! Yeah they improved greatly when I started to take my time with them. I used to only do 30s-1min poses. Some of these are 2minutes... I feel like I learn more too when doing so.
Thought I'd share these now since I know I won't be giving much of a crap to take pictures of the rest of what today has to bring. I have more studies too but.. I'm lazy.. I'd rather be drawing than taking pictures
Don't like em all but oh well.
Don't stop with the studies. Keep looking for proportion and balance. And remember, always look hard at what you're doing.
Out of those 30 seconds, if you spend 10 seconds looking, you'll always get a better result than 5 seconds looking. Just something I've felt.
Thanks guys! Your comments means a lot to me Thanks for the support!
Here's some stuff.. I have more but.. again.. I'm lazy to take photos ): I've been a bit busy too so I don't have too much anyway (a few figure drawings and such). I just created my new schedule to follow! So I'm getting back on track again.
I should start scanning rather than taking crappy webcam photos
but you know why I don't?
CAUSE I'M LAZY
Hey my Sweden friend
when you draw a people or face try to build them from simple shapes like box sphere or cylinder it helps a lot!
read or watch Vilppu stuff i love his style of drawing and teaching drawing human anatomy in motion !
Kojot: Thanks. Yeah I know, I don't usually work with stuff like that. I like to think in general shapes rather than circles and stuff. But I do agree that some of them (like the devil) could have been done a lot better.
Alexon: Thanks dudddee!
Hey guys! Here's a new painting that I did (around seven hours).
I have studies to post too but I'm too lazy to scan or take pictures right now.
Lav: thanks for checking by again I appreciate the kind words
Kungfoowiz: thanks man I appreciate it!
Trying to understand Sargent.. man his stuff is so cool.
I didn't get the colors right, I couldn't figure it out. But at least the pose came pretty close.
You can find the painting by a simple google search.
I promise I'll scan some sketches later. I have a bunch of figuredrawing.
cgaddkct: Oh thank you! I'm actually better at observing faces and then draw them.. I'm pretty bad at drawing faces from imagination for some reason.. Have to practice.
Like I promised, sketches. It isn't by far everything since last time I posted my sketches but.. I feel like scanning is procrastination in a way.
Back to the drawing board, laters!
I like studies in 253 and nice rendering in 256. When you doing studies on a paper don't forget to use mirror. It will help you see if you skewing image. And in digital soft you horizontal mirroring. Keep it up mate!
Hey man thanks for the ref's just checked out your SB, you've really come along way havent you! I'm looking forward to some more polished rendering like your devil guy
Good job on these studies. I wanna see more figure paintings and do them bigger. I also want to see more color in here. Do some color studys of famous paintings. Pause a DVD and paint the scene. or just make your own color circle.
Jobba hårt nu!
B-Man: Yeah I agree.. I should totally do more color studies :/ Been a bit overly consumed with anatomy lol. And; yeah I should do the figure drawings bigger. I've been doing them in my sketchbook that's kinda tiny. Half of an A4.
Det ska jag, Björne Mannen!
fudgeloaf: Yeah I guess I have It's been a while. And thanks dude, I appreciate it! More paintings to come
Parsakoira: Thanks! Also, if you come back; are you Finnish? That screenname kinda suggests it.
Kungfoowiz: Thanks man. I didn't really manage to get the sargent study completely right though Better luck next time.
Seraph Fawkes: Ah.. yeah.. you're right, I should use the mirror more often. Haven't been doing that. I rush my sketches too often ;/ Thanks for the comment!
It has been a while and I've done two paintings and started one.
This isn't all the sketches, but you guys know me by now.. I'm lazy with scanning.
hey nice sb huge improvements your heads and portraits are looking better and better especially that devil post keep studying anatomy and structure
