Hey guys, I'm a long time lurker, and I've always had some sort of shyness about anything I make, but today it's time to end that.
Lets see, I'm 19, I'm from the UK, I'm currently studying art, and in September I should be going to University (Probably the University of Cumbria). I started painting seriously about a year ago. My life had a really big hiatus of moving around and stuff, which stopped me from working, but I've been drawing off and on since I was around 15-16. Anyways, I'll post a little back log of work, some school work, some personal, some not so good, but some pretty alright.
And of course guys, I'm here to motivate myself and improve. I'm at the point where my standards are higher than my skill-level, and I know that the only way around that is a lot of time and effort. I am finishing my education off at the moment though, so I can say that much more will be posted once these next 6 weeks are up.
Here's a bunch of stuff I've done over the past few weeks, after this point, it'll all be new stuff.
Small update as I've mostly been working traditionally for college. Colour studies and just general idea thumbnails for an illustration for my college course. Also some tank thumbnails, meant to look WW2 but not be an actual tank, also part of my illustration work for college. Below that just me messing around, a little doodle, took about 40 minutes or so and then about 15 on top for fiddling with colours and stuff. There's problems with it, but it still looks kinda cool.
Looks like you got a pretty cool sense of design and layout, the boy standing on the tank is a beautiful shot. Id say work on your posing and balance a little more, id say work on your anatomy some more, keep proportions in mind and all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4nTEgET9DA this is pretty good for that. Also those car designs are really nice. Hope this helps at all
I completed all three of the tank paintings, but I don't have the final copies saved on this hard drive, they're at college, so the only complete image I can currently post here is the 1st of the 3 panels. I'll post all three at some point once all my written work is sorted out for college.
Guh, more college work, can't wait until it's all done.
Just some anatomy studies I've done while not doing naff college written work, and 3 little designs I started for fun and practice last night which I will finish rendering once this college stuff is out of the way.
Just some new stuff, not productive enough recently as I've been busy enjoying summer. Photo studies and quick sketched abound, might finish some of those designs off, might not. Depends on where the wind takes me!
