why make it hard when you can make it easy? tho i must admit, it looks cool what you did with your non dominant hand and upside down and stuff
Your anatomy is improving as well, and the endresult of that smoking guy is looking really good (some slight proportion issues with the guy i think, but i really like the paint)
Yeah I do plan on playing with the watercolor more on my own time for sure. Its just when im in an art class where there are deadlines and the teacher doesn't even do any demonstrations is when it gets boring and the teacher is quite otiose with this class. So yes I must try out more on my own. Every-time he talks about our work he somehow injects some personal criticism into it which really disturbs me and he goes on and on like he did today. I am just tired of his rants and raves. I hate art classes here at West Liberty. Uggghg
@ Lav: Why make it hard when you can make it easy? because, in my opinion, when you use your non-dominant hand to draw something upside down and backwards it opens mental doorways into how we observe, to me it takes my mind off of the process of drawing and more on the object or thing you are drawing.
@ danlucas: Hey man im glad to hear that your still commited to using watercolor. Ya some art teachers are really bad i hope you get a good one in future.
So I got first place on that anti-tobacco competition, that painting is going to be created into a bus stop billboard and i got 120 bucks! haha.
Here are some recent paintings and drawings. First is an assignment for my painting class next is a painting doodle then some non-dominant upside down and backwards gestures of two models who were very large and wrinkly. After is a self portrait of me looking goofy. Ive been breaking out of my bubble a little bit to recently and have been creating some trance/electronic music....but i dont know how to upload that so i guess you got lucky ha
So here is my bus stop billboard for winning the competition
