Nice characters! I think you could give them more expressions like u did for the last one. Another thing you could try is try be more adventurous with your lighting... for example... in the last one you could light er in a way where one arm casts a shadow across her body. Things like that can add depth
BlackDelphin - Yeah I should really put colors on her. Damn me for beeing a lazy ass ****** Thanks Blacky you rock!
p sage - Yeah well doing the values befor is just so I get an idea of the range im going for. When I put colors on it I see better how to use the colors to make the values poop more. But Im still a noob on that erea so Im working on it. Cheers bro! Thanks.
palladium - Thanks!
teapo - Thanks, Yeah I should get around to coloring it soon.
krel - Thanks bro! Yeah them helmets rock! I should have some more boobs in my last chow though feels like it was too much man titties in it now when I see this image.
Bendragon - Thanks for your lighting tips. I defenetly try ansd add more dynamic lighting. Thanks bro!
kaktuzlime - Im honored! Your a huge inspiration!
MattGamer - Im getting most my inspiration from coffee, I drink so much I gett a bit jittery and start doodeling. then I go from there Thanks mate!
Ariel9 - Thanks I like the celt entry too but as mentioned in the chow thread, he deosnt really show any characteristics. and I agree with that. He could have been so much more. Im glad you like it! Thanks Ariel.

Well just saying that you should and not actually putting any colours on her won't make me go away Lets see you updating her!!!
Nice job on the new CHOW! Really dig the idea and that frame!! His right palm seems to be a tad to big for him. Is it just me?
Nice sketch too. I like the clean lines.
More , and soon please
that celt painting in post 506 is so sweet! cant wait to see the color ness.
Art and kindness are my weapons of choice.
dude, you killin. man, you pimpin. awesome.
word of crit, just watch your thumbs. sometimes they might look better on the palm side of the hand, it's a little more natural. try out the hand poses to see what i mean (not the mage himself, but the little imp. also, the fallen gladiator).
the celt himself is phenomenal. nice composition. great job.
The Magus looks a bit flat, but the girl is cute and not in danger of falling over.
The celt is great, i love the torso and the dynamic composition!!!.And the girl illustration is ready for some colors .
The trasparent sketch is damn lovely!!!Keep up the magus, but dont leave the female char behind
keep up mate
BlackDelphin - You got me there. I just wanna paint new stuff all the time.
Braintree - Thanks!
avocado - Thanks!
purb36 - Thanks, Im so glad you liked the celt. Thanks for the pointers bro!
MattGamer - Yeah. At least not to damn big this time.
Black Spot - Thanks Black Spot, Yeah boobs get a bit big sometimes. Gonna work on that.
p sage - HAHa, I should have used Neil as ref. You have great taste in music my friend!
kingkostas - Thanks bro! I know, I know, colors...
teapo - Thanks man! Summoning stuff is cool!
So today I did two fast Sargent studies. just trying to get value, color and shape right as fast as possible. I guess its around 1 1/2 hour each, I was a bit slow on this first one as it was my warmup today.
Both are very nice. The second is particularly nice. His left leg is beautifully rendered. Looks like it has great structure because of brush stokes that you did.
Nice studies. I mostly spend long times on studies, my belief is not to rush it. Quantity isnt as important in studies as intensity imo. Really observe the original and try to replicate most of the elements there. With quick ones it might be harder to get to an advanced stage where you can analyze all the details of the painting. Looking good!
For Gods sake man! I can't tell how much you seem to improve with each post!! AWESOME!
Great work on the Sargeant studies. No harm that the first one was a bit slow, at least you got the main elements in and it reads well.
Nice work on the magus character, though I'd imagine that he should be lit stronger from the front, that is along the next lowest facial planes to the ones that you have already highlighted, and the longer planes of the forearm and the scarf / robe item.
Other than that excellent work as always Bjorn!! Keep it up!!
Hey man, thanks for dropping by. Dang! your rendering has gotten tight. really hot stuff. Kinda good you're getting away from the cartoony stuff and getting into more realistic representation, but I miss the bear. you ever thought about doing a web comic?
Nice stuff..that b/w chick looks soo hot
I'd like to say something about ur flesh tones..maybe you could use some greens, violets, blues instead of deep brown and some pale orange for reflected/moon light?
maybe its just me..so pls dont mind.
keep up the great work!t
wow your painting turn moar realistic the boobs... I mean the chick look lovely awesome and the studies so so neat
giveme moar! giveme moar!
your update its wicked awesome B-man
FraserMcT - Thanks mate!
Bendragon - So right you are! I usaly try and nail essentials fast but the rendering should be precise and thought through. Thanks
MacTire - Yeah your right about the light. I made him show more detail then he should. If I was aiming for a more realistic lighting I wouldf have made it more bright. I see this as a more illustrative way of doing a character. Thanks mate!
Liffey - Thanks glad you think so Im super noob with colors.
p sage -
pennington - I dont have the discipline required for a web comic. But Im gonna do a short novel soon. My old bear sketches are a great idea for web comic though. Thanks
shyamshriram - I value your input mate! Your a huge inspiration.
wakoes - hehe, Thanks!
Turbosnail - Thanks mate!
Trashy - Will do mate!
Grandmassa Mr. Spect - Thanks granny! I was tyhinking of doing a portrait of you. That killer chin of yours is just begging to be painted. ;P
I thought a good way to get into enviro's might be thumb studies to begin with. I really need some hot tips on doing enviros. I feel that this poo whont do.
enjoy the poo!
Hehe i know what you mean
I always come up with newer ideas, that seem to be "brighter" than the last one, that i really feel like drawing right away.
Great job once again!! I really can't say much because you're in the right direction!! So basically i'll do some cheering today
Your sargent are great! especially that 2nd one after the worm up; i bring them up because i couldn't find to many nude paintings from him and i'd like to do some studies too; where did you get these?
very nice sergeant studies. i'm feeling an explosion of goodness coming from you soon! ;]
the enviro studies are good, though you got to push and pull that landscape and use all the atmosphere and mind skills to make it look real instead of paint on a canvas. i'm trying to learn this and studying other artists on how they do their studies (like min for example).
