hi all, finaly got time to enter this challenge,im not sure i will be able to finish my image before the deadline, anyway lets give it a try!!!
so here is my first concept:
'Shazim' is a demon king using human souls to feed and help the born of his son and successor,to do so he should catch human and bring them to the soul river to change them to energy that can be consumed by his son.
after killing 1000 human his son can come to life in a full form.
any comments or critiques are welcome

Great character and viewpoint, Dissar. Coming along really fast and very nicely. I don't see you having any problems finishing in time if you go at this pace.
looking good so far, i agree with hueyyeng if you expand your convas you'll be able to show more of the river & maybe you could show a bit of shazim's son coming out of the soul river as well.
hueyyeng: hi,thank you for your comment,i was planning to change the canvas to a wider view,i will definetly give it a try.
Nickillus: thank you mate, really apreciate your support.
miycko: thank you very much for your advice
Love his horn-like hairstyle and the angle is working really well too. Are you going to expand the canvas at all - would like to see more of his world.
hi Leighton, yeah i will expand the canvas,to show the hero son meditating,or raising from the river,im very busy right now,ill post more images as soon as i get free time, thanks for droping by!
hi,before expanding the canvas i decided to work more on Shazim, now his face and clothing are almost finished, only few things to fix,now i can go ahead and change the canvas and add his son.
are you going to leave the piece black&white ?
i like the kane, i'm not sure about the bottle of wine though.
WOMD : Hi,no i will add colors of course, just need to get the comp and right values first
Phill99 : thank you for your support.
miycko : hey,thx for your feedback,im not sure about the bottle too,i may change it later.
hi younes, nice to see you here, great progress!i like the concept as well, but i am not sure with the bottle of wine, imho.
i have new concept for my newborn, have a look,i am working with cartoon style right now and you do realistic(flip),and i know you are the master of cartoon, tell me something about my thread, thanks man....
we are busy with challenge.
This one is turning into pure awesomeness. Such beautiful materials(skin, clothing, rocks) Looking forward to the final. (I won't mention the wine bottle) Doh!
Irawan:thank you my friend;really apreciate your kind words, wich are too much for me i think.i posted a comment on your thread
scorge : thank you for your kind words and support : )
hi,sorry for the delay,i was very busy,now i can focus on this piece,i added colors and Shazim's son,wich look's big already,haha
im waiting your feedback!
the wisps and tendrils are looking really hot, and lend a lot of energy to the piece. There are places where they feel more on the surface of a painting than existing in space, but I'm sure that'll resolve pretty instinctively as you work on things.
I love that he has his dad's hair.
hueyyeng: hi,thank you for your comment : )
Vaejoun: thank you,me too im not very excited about the colors i used,i made the image darker and it looks better now(i think)haha
here is my final image, comments and critiques are welcome.
Master Chill: thank you
hueyyeng: thanks a lot,can you give me suggestions??
The colour in your final piece is not that harmony. It consists mainly of strong vivid blue and red colour.
You can try to make the sky with a deep purple hue to compliment the red and blue colours in the scene. Sometimes a picture worth a thousands word so if you don't mind I did a quick paintover of your work.
A real quick paintover so take it with a pinch of salt.
hueyyeng : hi,thank you for your help my friend,i just came back from a trip and the challenge is already over, anyway thanks for your support, really apreciate that
miycko : thanks
