your storytelling is cool. I see you focus on the nitty-gritty of society (mainly soldiers at war)- I think it has a strong emotional impact. The style also matches it (if you want to call it a style)- the way that the shading is done, and the strokes are left with some looseness to them.

I love your pencil sketches!
Fantastic as always, JF. That girl with the heavy machine gun on her shoulder is marvelous, looks like something right out of a propaganda poster. The Pocahontas girl gave me a chuckle.
Xamllew - lol yea he was dude, but he was also very interesting to watch and with acting especially its rare to see someone as manic and unrestrainable as kinski was.
donalfall- thanks man, i really liked how that one came out too, want to change kong a little tho
So, yesterday one of my best friends I've had in my whole life died. My cat Richard, who was 3, got nailed by a car (as he was and always would have chosen to be an outdoor cat), crawled under a tree and died a block away from my house. He was very popular in my neighborhood, most of the people on my street call him the mayor because he greets everyone he sees and often played with children in the public park behind my house. When i go out for a jog, he would run right alongside me and people would do a double take when they noticed he wasnt a dog and he wasnt on a leash. I never thought he would die so soon and figured he was clever enough to avoid being hit by cars, but i've never had a cat nor thought i was a cat person. i had to hide his food bowl and everything because my gut feels like its twisting every time i think about him. I have lost close family members and havent gotten this broken up, maybe because he was in my life every day. This is a rough story, but it did just happen and i know it'll get better, and i feel grateful to have known him and he was my friend. thanks for listening
this is a sketch i did of him a little while ago
I really love the war theme, nice drawings. Your drawing is soulful, It has such an aged quality. Bravo. Where do you get this obsession with war? Just curious.
