study of DaVinci's Burlington-House Cartoon
i dont really understand if u drew this or him but... lol its really nice either way , love the realism factor portrayed in the peice
haha thanks I DID draw it but needless to say it hardly does justice to the original
i wasnt meaning this in a sarcastic tone lol i really think its good the eyes really stand out to me
hmmm i guess you went to some life drawing sessions? my teacher says that's a great way to learn realism. good job
its very good but i miss some variation of stronger and lighter strokes, makes the imake kind of flat
my Sketchbook plz help me become a better artist !
Your tones are really awesome. I haven't see the piece you got this from, but the only glaring oddity, is her nose. Loos like its just a tube coming from between her eyes. the shading where it meets the nostral area seems to reflect this, because they all look like even. But heck maybe it was the lighting, or the angle you drew this at, of the piece was made to look just like that, which I know I never would be able to get something like that done, ha!
Good work really. Keep it up, its quite nice.
thanks for the useful crit guys. I think you're right about the nose and I've noticed it also. I should make it more angular but i'm afraid I may ruin it an make it over worked. I did this piece quite a while ago, and it had been sprayed and everything. the face i used for reference is about 2" and I drew a grid over the original(in a book) to scale it up to about the size here.here is the image.http://www.abcgallery.com/L/leonardo/leonardo6.html she has sort of idealized features in the original but I agree that the nose doesn't look right on mine, any sugg would be awesome
