Nice work on the anatomy with these. Something that I can never get right is proportions, and it all looks natural on those 3 buddies.
Nice graphic work once again, are you studying graphic design?

Lakka: thanks lakka yeah, My major is graphic design. I'm studying a Bachelor of Creative Media at QANTM.
Here is the other half of my assessment for the band poster design.
its simple... we model the batman!
trying to teach myself organic modeling.
duuude. can't believe the last time i visited your SB was in July! D: but i see you've kept busy since then. good job on the commissioned work bro. let's get back into drawing~ i expect to see lots and lots of updates :]
ahhh i can't wait till uni is over for the year, what to draw all the things!
Lol'd at that last post. Lots of nice links, thanks for that!
Looking good man, I love the 3D works, oh and the bear studies are adorable. Keep it up =)
Visit my website FoxbergArt.com!
Would he walk upon the water If he couldn’t walk away?
And would you, Would you carry the torch for me?
adamsimons: Thank you sir!
1.5hrs in photoshop, crapy colours
as you're doing these try and pick specific aspects to work on (form, colour temp, edges, cloth, skin, etc). make observations on what worked and what you want to try differently and also look at how artists you respect handle the aspect you're considering. and try to improve on the next study.
keep it up!
You have some real amazing works of art! I went through all 7 pages man.
nice photo studies swan man. i've noticed that almost every stroke is visible in some of these studies (not that that's a bad thing) but i'm curious, do you only stick with one brush size? or do you block in with large brush then follow it with smaller-sized strokes?
These final paintings are nice, I love the painterly strokes effect though I do think you should put more thought into where each stroke is going. You'll get a lot more out of it that way. Those sketchbooks pages with the explorer guy are great, they look like so much fun
So... this is awkward ha ha. I've been under the thumb these last 7 months. Uni and work I have truly missed you guys and the inspiration and fun that comes from contributing to this site.
Updates... So I need to get my hands on a scanner, as I have been doodling a lot just haven't had the hardware to share * rhymes not intention*. A part from that just a couple of recent paints for a big project I'm working on. Its called the Flux Collective. Just a concept for now, but its all up and running. You can see here. Basically its a site dedicated to my local Creative industry. We do a fortnightly magazine or "webzine" for you cool kinds. Personally I built the website and I contribute Illustrations until the site concept can get off its feet.
Hopefully I will have some scans for next week, till then here's some stuffs.
adamsimons: I will/have been trying new software, brushes and techniques so hopefully that will show ha ha.
Pete Hidalgo: Wow, really? Thanks man that means a lot
JamesSimons: Definitely painting a bear tomorrow now lol
Just Call Me Bruce!: I agree and thx
teapo: I'm not sure if that was just bad habit or I enjoy making to much work for myself, but I have been blocking in more ever since I saw your comment, thought you should know I has changed my life ha ha.
Nibras: Yes, I was blocking in with smaller strokes... not the best idea hey :/ . Thank you I remember putting in a lot of work into that series.
Hahhah, fucking hell, those astranauts are creepy ;D
You got so many cool stuff in here. I llove the moleskine comics. A commie and a bear, oh maaaan. It's hilarious.
And great work on the batman. Really sweeet gesture.
Aaron_: Thanks man
Need to stop playing so much dota, my art is suffering ha ha.
