hello, everyone i hope i posted this correctly...
my friend has convinced me to begin a sketchbook thread here, in order to improve my drawing. (i don't dare to call it art yet!)
i am always interested in critiques and tips. i must say this is very intimidating, but lack of improvement is far more scary to me, so here it goes. please honestly comment with whatever you think!
as you can see i am heavily inspired by anime / manga, since i was very much into those in my younger years.
though i continue to draw in a manga-like style that is self-taught, i hope to break away from it a little (lately i dislike it) and just to improve whatever i can.
i think i really need to start doing studies, i'll try to show some soon.
What you have posted is decent. However, as you said, you know you need to break out of the old, and into the new. Studies of everyday stuff (pets,self-portrait,anatomy studies, etc.) if nothing else, will strengthen your eye.
You know what you need to do, SO GET CRAKALACKIN"
I agree with what Zombifried has said. If you want to improve, try finding some books on anatomy such as Figure Drawing for All it's Worth and Dynamic Anatomy for example.
