I like way you did the hair in that last one.. It's got a nice almost graphic/vector feel to it. I'd still like to maybe see some sharper highlights in there to help really pick out the light source for it and give it a bit more contrast, but I really like the way you rendered the face/turtleneck. My only nitpick about the face is the tops of her eyes (specifically the one on our right), where the lid would be -- you sort of painted the brow-bone area to slope down over the top of the eye. I've got a face shape that's almost exact to what she's got and I did the pose myself, and the brow doesn't hang over the eye like that. My lashes curl upward and wrap over that area by quite a bit, so I think that's what's making that area look off on yours. Otherwise, it looks really good!

I knew there was something wrong with the eyes, lol. I still think they're not placed quite right too... I'm glad you like the hair though because that's close to how I'm planning to draw things in the actual comic

That's a pretty cool armor design. I especially like the area on the chest that kind of looks like ribs -- the saturated color in there really is making it look like there's just all kinds of light bouncing around in there. Nice!

I like the sketch for the chow - nice composition. I'll be curious to see what you'll do with it!
I like design of the girl on the left, but I'm a bit confused with the lighting -- On our right, you've got a blue/cool light that's strong enough to light the fabric up fairly well, but her all the skin areas facing that side are lit with a more saturated/warm color. If the light is strong enough to affect the fabric that much, I'd think it would be affecting her skin on that side, too? (At least a little bit.)
Also, the hand that's on her hip doesn't look like it's actually quite resting on the hip.. It almost looks like it's hovering in the air just off of it. I think it's because the shadow isn't really under her hand (it's so low that it almost looks like a cast shadow) and it needs to be a bit darker because there'd be less light between her hand and the fabric of her dress if her hand was resting directly against her hip.
Otherwise, I'm really liking the design of her clothing so far. Nice job. ^_^

I'll second what others have said, really inspiring progress you've made. Awesome skeletal character thing in post 340, keep up the great work. The ear on the left version of the design of the girl looks a little wonky, like it doesn't match her skin color. Other than that, no crits from me! Looking forward to seeing more.
Ooohh, newest ChoW is looking awesome!
What's that HOAX thing? Is that something for school or a personal project? Or perhaps even a client?
Either way, that looks potentially interesting.
Some things about the newest ChoW:
The creature doesn't look particularly grounded. With that much mass it's literally standing on tippy-toes permanently.
The hind legs kind of jut out awkwardly.
There's something about how the head comes out that seems odd to me as well, might just be the angle.
The composition (if this is your finalized comp) seems a bit lacking with the simple center figure placement of the character. I might take this comment back when the color is added though... If really cleverly approached, it could make or break this composition.
I really really like the idea though, it's very interesting when child-like people hold such immense power.
Keep up the good work though, I'm liking what I'm seeing.
Perhaps doing a few studies of an animal that you are basing it off might help a bit? Then try to incorporate that into your mechanical design.

Hoax is my own little story... right now it's a graphic novel, but I would rather it be a game, haha. Of course a game is way too much work to do on my own, so for now I'm just planning it out in case I ever get help. And making the novel as well
Speaking of which, here's page two (along with page 1 which I've posted before but it was a while ago, so refresher)! Starts out in black in white but will be in color by page 4 I think.
I agree with Mat that the CHoW is looking pretty interesting. I think the front legs are looking weird though, not because they're kind of on tip-toe (which I kind of like), but because the leg farthest from us has an awkward (almost bow-legged?) shape which is making it seem like it isn't balancing correctly to me.
The two front legs are designed slightly differently. The one closest to us bends at the shoulder (plate with the pointy top edge to it) and then out again to the plate that makes up the paw area. The leg farthest from us doesn't appear to have any bendable areas to it at all. (The shoulder plate is sitting farther forward on the body than the plate on the side closest to us, which then curves downward with no bent areas to mirror the other side. If you shift that shoulder back and then indent the leg some, it should make things feel more balanced/natural.)
The Hoax stuff looks kind of cool, too. I kind of like the simplicity of it. I feel like I'd like to see more shape to the little character (just a smidge more depth to him so that he doesn't look so out of place against the blocks - not totally different to take away the cartooniness of him or anything - just so that he looks like he's in the same space as his surroundings), but I don't know if him being designed flat has anything to do with the story or not? Either way, you've got my curiosity piqued. ^_^

In the meantime here's a self portrait I'm working on:
The coloring isn't bad, but I think you could push your values just a tad more. When I flipped the pages to b&w in PS, a lot of the panels are all extremely close in their value ranges. (The first page isn't too bad, the other two are all almost identical values, with a few small areas exceptions.) If you push the values just a bit more, I think you'd really put the icing on the cake with some of these panels. (But that's if I'm being fussy, I think you did pretty good over-all. Hope you hear back from them! ^_^)
P.S. WTF is with Emma's expression on the second-to-last panel on page two? That's a derp-face if I've ever seen one before. XD
