Guess I'll have to fix that. Thanks.
Another speed drawing from reference - about 15 minutes
Added the last figure, messed with some details. I played with the sky a little bit - is it still too saturated? It should fit the rest of the piece better now.
A couple quick (15 minutes minus each) hands holding balls of energy. The hands were my own but the energy is imaginary.
Tightening stuff and clean up - I'm thinking about eliminating the lines entirely if I can get it to read well that way.
~45 minute 'old' spaceship. I don't think I did enough to make it look old.
A character concept - an alchemist and his wife (that died two years ago)
Just didn't have any ideas today... some figures. Trying to figure out expression a bit with vague memories of the muscles involved with rather limited success. Next time I work on that I'll have a book in front of me.
Another day of random uninspired sketches.
A quick idea for a scene and some work on the figure design for said scene.
A couple more scene ideas
Another scene idea.
More thumbnails and random sketches
Another thumbnail and some sketches working out poses for the image therein.
I'll try to find time for some longer studies... In fact I'll see if I can't work in all of your suggestions since they all seem like good ideas. Finding time will be the big problem.
Here's today's random sketches - mostly from reference:
heh, of course I need more practice Hope you're right about 'soon'
a character - most of the elements that make it up are from reference. The unfinished guy on the left was an aborted idea that led to the other one.
I know - I should be working on longer finished pieces. But I didn't have time so I did these - from reference, about 25 minutes for both.
Sketches from reference.
Working on expressions - all from reference.
An unfinished character design with reference for parts taken from many sources.
Refined that concept a bunch. I need to track down some reference for the face.
Still working on facial expressions - a portrait from reference.
Sketches from reference.
Another armor idea
I'll keep that in mind - I'm trying to work on observation of proportions.
Another head from reference - the helmet is from different reference.
Put that character in an action pose and tried to work out values. I still think it needs more and better contrast but I'm done for the night.
I had hoped to get something more finished done last night. Instead I ended up with this sketchy rendition of the character I've been playing with.
Got an idea for a scene and did some sketches for it. Thumbnails tomorrow.
