I like the master study.
Crit? I find the highlight going down through the body of the Medusa character confusing... it just basically goes right through the center, and doesn't show the form much.
Hope that's not too harsh
O.k.. . you've got some great stuff going on here, but something about the baby is rubbing me the wrong way. I'm pretty wiped out at the moment, so I can't decide what, but you may want to check the head size in relation to the body. The head is usually bigger than you think. . .. and the face feels a tad old for a baby. (A babies eyes are nearly adult size, so they should look pretty big on the baby.)
@PSage - Thanks, `bout to fix it.
@DRH - Thanks for the crit, though this image is probably forever lost somewhere in my WIP folder...maybe I`ll dig it out some day, who knows...
Moar costume designs this time + some sketches. On to-do list - studies. A shitload of them.

Quick sketch for my long overdue "Egypt" project. But first I have to get to my professor for reference images. I can already imagine the conversation...
- Hello, I`m here to pick up some costume pictures I need. Could I borrow your book and make some copies?
- I already handed those out to students.
- Erm, yes, I didn`t get a copy...
- How come? I copied enough of them for all of you?
- I ...wasn`t at class that day...
- Oh, really? *evil gaze*
- .... O_o...
fantastic costume designs. would love to see more of them colored.
svaka čast, ugodno sam se iznenadio samo naprijed!
Great stuff man! Really love those pencil characters. Not much to crit. guess you could spice those pencils up a bit by adding some scratches to the metal or some dirt to their clothing. Or whatever. Those little inconsistencies can really add some more depth. But yea its allready super awesome!
Odlične su ti skice! Sviđaju mi se detalji! Vježba se isplatila...
Wow, I can really see an improvement of yours! It makes me be more motivated to keep up with my sketches. Maybe I should start my sketchbook journal up here. Awesome characters designs! I'll subscribe ya for some inspirations and obviously some motivations!
Man, ehm are those scetches u made in march real? I mean if u wasn't pretending, then you made a realy tremendous step forward for the shortest period.. Damn impressive - rly interesting to watch such an intensive progress, keep the pace ! =)
Got really lazy last week, but thank God this weeks ChOW got me out of the rut, AND I figured out quite a lot. Chow really is good medicine, I tell ya!
Some more sketches (chow related and otherwise), and a study of Bammes(male torso). Trying out something new, so I drew it 9 times. Learned a thing or two...
Just 3 more months...Wacom, here I come!

Ooh, i remember looking at this thread back when it still was on page 1. You've improved a lot ! I love your costume designs and your anatomy looks nice, however sometimes the legs you draw are a bit too long. Keep up the great work
The chow is great. Though I think I like the face in the preliminary sketch better than the final. Great character designs all around.
what texts did you use for faces?? Hogarth seems to be the biggest player in that field, any suggestions?
@dragonroseart - Thank you! And puh-leeeease forgive me, I know I owe you something. I`m not lazy, just really busy, so...don`t worry, I didn`t forget!
@bombur - thanks mate, I am aware of my issues with legs. A professional deformation I`m trying to shake off (and will, eventually, I swears!)
@jcpahl - Well, to be honest, I knew her face wouldn`t turn out like in the original sketch (it never does), but yeah, the sketch one looks a bit more sensual and alluring.
@NPlaxco - Hogarth is great for detailed explaining, Loomis is great for a more realistic approach, but the best one is - you! Books are good for basic knowledge, but you`ll learn a lot by making studies and drawings on your own. I myself am quite determined to do it so, especially after noticing what a hard time I have drawing a male face...-___-...
This week was fun! Joined another Chow and just had fun with it. I realized that I`ve been putting too much emotions and expectations into these, and when the voting started and I saw just how little people actually voted for me...bad, BAD case of reality check. What did I learn? Your works are just like your children - you never know just how screwed they`ll turn out to be in the end. So, what to do? Take it easy. I`m going to put my head down, shut up and draw. And one day, when I look up...who knows. I might find myself in a better place.
K, nuff small talk. This week - mah Chow (as mentioned, with a tweak here or there till it`s finished), some costumes (eh, I figured I might as well include the original images that were handed to us at class as references. Very bright and grainy photocopies that barely show the outlines, not to mention the lack of details...O_o...BUT(!) it`s more so a challenge...), and some Alchemy doodles (which were done with a mouse, since my tablet refuses to respond outside photoshop, resulting in a very frustrated and confused PxelSlayer. Unghffff...)
K, I`ve talked the talk, now I`m gonna walk the walk. Back to my drawing board. Later!

Love seeing you make progress by leaps and bounds. One crit: in the painted version of the woman in post #107, the wrist draped against the pillow looks very flat. There's no sense of it sinking down into the pillow.
Looking forward to seeing more.
You've come a long way since spring! And it's just a year!
If you're up for it, it would be great to see a little foray into environments. There's some background on the steampunk harem lady, which you've handled beautifully, but yah... Something to consider.
Great sketchbook so far. Keep it up!
Really nice SB! loving your characters specially the drawing of that girl that's on her knees
I really like the way you work with your imagination, very nice.
callouses on the fingers. If you don’t have any, you’re not drawing enough.

Man, I have to say that I'm astonished with your progression wonderful works man...
Keep it up
