What a great character in the last post! I love the combination of the long legs and overweight stomach.
You're doing some solid work in this sketchbook. My only crit is that there is some odd facial anatomy on some of your character sketches and portraits. I think it's because the values are a bit uneven, and makes the noses and eyebrows seem a little distorted.
Turnaround came out pretty nice, the coat's cool.
Just two cents i observed and which you probably already noticed: Look between his legs ,you foget to add the backside of the coat unless its divided And did he shaves his arm hairs on the right side? Maybe just to get that modelshot!
woopwoop, back from vacation in turkey. I rarely had time to draw, but here are some drawings I did. everything is from life ofcourse
@obstfelder: thank you very much glad you like it. and thanks even more for the crit! i try to have a closer look on it from now on, you are very right! thanks again!
@basti: jup, i noticed it in university as soon as the printer put out the char about the hair...i thought about it, but then forgot about it. thanks for pointing that out. I guess i can say "enjoy your vacation" from now on too. hope you had some fun during your internship!
Glad you are back! I hope your inspiration level has risen over 9000! after the trip to Turkey. The sketches look awesome, especially the doorway and the portrait. Really acurate that one.
What´s up with those dramatic fishies?
also i am working on the environment of the week. i´d love to hear your oppinion on those two colourschemes:
i am wondering why space is so blue...this must have something to do with waves and stuff ^^ i first wanted to go to a cyan-green-coldorange tone but then changed since it did not look convincing(like space)
update on this thing...been struggeling around for hours till i was happy with the topic...I first did the environment but then I felt like adding a character and this dragoncreature..had to rearange some elements for composition.
haha thank you so much guys...time to post some shitty scribbles again so you calm down agian!
@lastgen: i am waiting for an update of yours!
Did a very quick stilllife today...had to speed up since sun was going down. Also a little sargent masterstudy who i truly admire (as i do everyone who paints with oil ^^)
Some scribbles for the CHoW "spirit of winter"
and some hand studies..some from a mirror some from head while i was watching a movie.
Hey Cameli, thanks for stoping by and for your crit!
wellwell tried some Zbrush today...but then got lost in the endless worlds of zbrushs-menues in the end both skeches were lost (both because of the same problem^^ - guess i have to work along some tutorials first!
Here is some stuff i did today (or recently):
scribbled on a 2nd layer over the thumbnails - that was really worth it -revealed in which direction we want to go.
Also: logo for a t-shirt! EWBTE
saturdays had so much to do today - yet i was able to draw a little bit.
2 catfishstudies - one alive, one dead for a couple of hours (guys- during research i found fished i couldn´t have imagined...i will hardly go in any water deeper than my knees again)
Do you know what I´m missing in your pictures (at least in the last few pages)? The colors you use are mostly very cold, please gimme some green, yellow and red, please. Paint a winged unicorn flying over a dreamy landscape with rainbows or something. You can do it!
@kiba: amazing advice! i´ll do so, promise, yo!
@mr. zedesod: haha thanks! you too!
as you can see i am concerned about a fishman at the moment the rest are some studies, visited 2museums at the weekend and did a couple of very fast studies. i have to go in them again with more time and patience
just want to start updating again...better sooner than later. working alot on a project currently, maybe i´ll share the stuff within the next days. Here are just some scribbles i did while relaxing...watching movies and stuff...i have tons of them lying around here (guess that means i am relaxing to much )
also: was at a building lot and did some quick sketchs... (quite cold!!!)
in the end are some drawings i did with my left hand see you soon
traditional stuff from yesterday, i start my daily exercises currently with some 90sec. drawings, trying out different media.
also some multilimbs from head, horsestudies, hands from life and photo and some negative space exercises.
