Great Characters. Love the animal sketches too. Excellent sketchbook.
Some of the poses for the animation can be pushed a bit more. Like the yawn, when I stretch I try and stretch my arms as far as they go so much so that there is even a bit of shake.
Your figures are so beautiful dang it. So much movement and just beautiful lines and form, the day I have that control over figures will be a good day. This sketchbook is just a joy, so much passion for art and exploration everywhere. Thank you
Your animations are so good and I just love your paintings and facial expressions!
My Sketchbook--- http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=235001
Whirly - good call on that. I always tone down my gestures in the clean up process- it's a horrible horrible habit >.<
Thanks TFsean & Thlayli - you guys make my day
In the mean time, I get lots of comments and questions on how dynamic my characters. I made up a couple little tutorial-things so I could show you guys the type of thing I try to emphasize in a sketch.
I hope someone finds it helpful (sorry if I spelled everything wrong.)
Went pub sketching last night with some friends... they get progressively worse as time and beer went on.
Also, some goblin explorations.
Hey lady - thanks for the sketchbook comment, much appreciated!
I have to say I am absolutely loving your sb - your pages of cartoon and life sketches are just getting better and better - pretty drool-worthy if you ask me!! Subscribed - can't wait to see more!
I can see where you come from just by looking at your sb. : )
For the Walk Cycle, try to put some weight on the character. Otherwise very clean stuff!
YAY post 400
Towy- that's actually red pen- but here's some red pencil stuff
PontusEuxinus- Newfoundland or animation school? lol - good advice ^_^
Thanks Meteor ^_^
Here's some birds, and some doodles I did before I went to bed.
I seriously LOVE your cartoons!! It's marvelous how you modify forms and shapes while maintaining a personality within the lines and embedded it into emotions to build up the character! Keep em coming!
That little tutorial about lines is pretty cool =) I knew some of the things or at least read about them, but never thought so much about the lines while drawing. Your notes make me realize that I should pay more attention to the topic!
And as always I'm amazed by the life all of your characters have. I like the silhouettes of the warrior in post #380 a lot. the birds in #400 give your sketchbook a nice variety.
Only thing, that you could try if you like, is to use more hard lines and edges. At least for some mean looking characters it would be cool if even the lines would be more harsh. I see that there's the approach to do that, but I think some more exaggeration is possible.
So much energy in your characters!! I am enjoying them a lot. Will be keeping an eye on this!
MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS--->http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=207321
god, creatures! Awesomeness. I haven't given much to animals and although I did do a few gestures of them I can say that after going through your SB i realise im gonna need to do alot more of them to feel satisfied.
You've got great line quality to your work and your SB is great, I wish I had the same carefree approach to the SB, everytime I open it I get scared even though no ones there to judge but myself lol.
Nonetheless its fantastic set of work. Thanks again for droppin by my SB
Andrew L. Lauren, blindshot, Nanique, MeteorCat, krypt, Thanks you guys!
Valyavande - I'm glad my little tutorial gave you something to think about - I'm always trying to keep pushing my stuff further, so your advice is greatly appreciated
Little-Maiden - Thanks so much! It's funny you should say I have a "carefree" approach because truthfully I'm the most anxiety-ridden person I know. I'm glad it doesn't come across in my work ^_^
Today's stuff is a bit of a mish-mash. Some friends and I are working on an RPG related project, so I've played with some of my little creatures for color and pattern - also an RPG style map I'm about to clean up and unrelated gestures
Your gestures look fantaaastic, both fluid but solid-looking at the same time, I'm so jealous. Especially that ballerina and the determinedly marching dude up there in the corner.
That map makes me so happy! It reminds me of the stuff I used to draw when I was really little (only much more technically sound, I assure you). I'd make little RPG-style worlds over a bunch of computer papers taped together so I could make it really big, haha. It also reminds me of the game Zoombinis. So for what it's worth, it made me feel super nostalgic.
(Oh, and you were totally right re: my sketchbook about the faces being Dale from The Walking Dead -- good catch!)
We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.

Hi Rubix. Thanks for the advice its really helpful.
You might like this for animation inspiration. http://andreasdeja.blogspot.com/
Fantastic blog with some really cool early Disney animation lay-ins. I especially like the scar one. It might be worth checking out.
How on earth are you able to output so many characters and sketches?
LittleBones- I'm glad you like it! I've got the linework done- will post full colour image when it's done ^_^
Thanks Whirly- liking that blog you posted lots of good stuff in here. Quantity is really due to the fact I don't do anything else. I started listening to books on tape so I wouldn't have to stop drawing to read. My husband is a very understanding guy >.<
Line art for my map WIP and some potions - cuz every rpg needs potions.

I really like...I don't really know how to say it? The attitude of your characters? They all look really lively and interesting!
Here's my coloured version of my RPG map Had lots of fun doing it.
Hey ty for the crit.
I dew do alot of Tf2 stuff so it was funny when you said my zombie guy reminded you of it, even though I was going for more of a l4d feel XD
Nice sketches btw the little characters are so cute.
I get intimidated anytime I have to render a picture, and it never gets done
KateTheTerrorist- thanks - You'll never progress if you let fear get int the way. Sometimes you just have to give yourself permission to do some crappy work and climb the pile to something better.
Did some colour studies from reference
Found some great photos Here.
Artist on Deviant artgo look!
