i've been following your advices and here's what i've created people. it's not finished yet. i gotta work on thighs and add some details i suppose. what do you think?
Thank you for stoping by on my sketchbook really apreciated.
Nice work you got here, the cast shadows are too dark.
When painting in values keep this in your mind: the key to shadowing is the value, if you have the values correct the painting almost surely correct. But keep in mind anatomy and stuff of course
For the hair i would sugest blocking in the darkest color and going from there onto blocking the next values with a large brush haswell and then just in the final setps add the details like tiny hair highligts or strands of hair. Hair is quite dificult to do.
Jason chan has a tutorial on ImageFX and he has interesting thougts on hair just like i told you: http://www.imaginefx.com/02287754333...ic-beauty.html
Oh and be sure to check out ImageFX's workshops they have TONS of awsome stuff for you to learn from: http://www.imaginefx.com/-2287754330...Workshops.html
Wish you the best of luck

That grainy sketchbook paper you have is keeping your drawings from looking as good as they potentially could be, judging by your digital stuff. Switch it out for something better and see how it goes.
