Slowly getting better... [02. August 2010] HUGE update
I'd like to introduce myself since I'm stalking this community for a few months now and was too nervous posting something.
I feel too unskilled anyways.
I try to do art more frequently and more determined. I really couldn't finish my work properly for almost a year
Yeah i am 17 years old now, live in Germany and have other nicknames like kill, jatzu or tonyt.
You may know me from the german oekaki Neverending Skies or the Sroekaki
My art is kind of.. hum.. I don't know, you tell me.
So here's some examples of stuff I do.
I hope you can help me improving.
oh and thanks to narai for encouraging me to get active here.
edit, i removed the pictures from the attachment manager here.. it's kinda impractical.
Hey, I should update more often.
I started taking art more seriously these days again, I started doing a daily self-portrait.
As soon as I can find my camera, I'll show you the drawings (my scanner's on strike)
So I do some posemaniacs but I feel like not improving enough *sigh*
only true solution.. PRACTICING EVEN MORE!
but first my latest junk
^this was actually a commission. it's a humanized pokemon called shaymin or sth. like that.
B] Yooooo definitely see the oekaki influence -- holee shit -- sro?? Man I go there, sometimes [~Mew ring a bell? My friend is Shiny or Shiny_master there I think]. The sra kids scared me away after the merge though so I don't frequent as much B[;;;;
anyway rly cool stuff. I'm lovin those multicolored clouds and that robot in your sb thumb. Subscribing cause this promises to be supah cool.
that self portrait looks familiar .0. the colors are pretty awesome
gasmasks > sparta
and it wasn't so much as art skillez I was afraid of on sro, it was the content. I just don't fit in. at all. and like everyone draws the same thing WITH THE SAME STYLE I CAN NEVER TELL ANYONE APART AUGH it's kind of annoying B\
Jayteathanks! and yeah, I kinda see what you mean. But why not invading SRO with different styles? I bet there are plenty of other artists feeling the same. andres333thank you, yes, you are absolutely right. I practiced a little to get the patience back but it's an overall issue I have to come over with.
Anyways, I just have a small update,
because I've had a tendosynovitis for almost 2 months,
my tablet isn't working and
I needed a little to get adjusted to using traditionals again.
This is my first finished acrylic-painting,
I needed to do it in one night, because the deadline for the contest I participate in was the next day
(so I kinda rushed these two pieces again ).
and this is for the same contest, also done in that night.
I really don't like the coloring, but whatever.
And for rounding it up a little, this is a little photomanipulation i did for fun.
I'm on vacation now, so I hope I can produce more stuff that can bee seen here! I've been doing some Posemaniac-figure studies but I lost them unfortunately. As soon as I have some new ones, I'll let you know.
A redesign of a hunter from Final Fantasy Tactics
Quick lighting test before going to bed
Another try at a still life. I went and then my mother took the tomatoes to make lunch. oh well.

Reason: sry sent too early
Those are some great oekakis! I can never do anything good on those because my drawing feels so boxed in in 300x300 spaces that practice ones offer. I love the hunet from Final Fantasy Tactics I really like that random landscape too
Hey thanks for the feedback on my sketchbook. Your SB is great, i love your sketches they have such great energy to them. The only things i suggest is to go back and do a few more anatomy studies now n then, your anatomy is good but its always usefull to refine it as it can get a bit sloppy, also you just needto spent more time on everything as it seems alittle rushed and unfinished (i hve exactly the same problem so not sure what to say for advice) but goodluck, our doing great so far
