This is a graffiti I made on the superwall on Facebook, but the program glitched before I could send it. (I like making artwork on the superwall because you can't save it, so it forces me not to procrastinate) So, with a little quick thinking, I took some photos of the drawing before it vanished off the planet forever. I don't yet own a tablet, so I was forced to use a mouse.
I can't edit the drawing (because it no longer exists), but I am still interested in all of your guys' critiques. Hopefully the photo is decent enough that you guys can really tear into it.
And this is my reference. Sorry about the size
Somethingís I noticed: in my version the face is too wide, the mouth scars go up too high, and I think his nose might be too small in relation to the rest of the face, but Iím not sure.

This stuff is magic , you have nothing to worry about from my point of view
You should have Print screen'd though. Monitors and cameras are not good friends.
oh, man, you got that straight. Im amazed this photo turned out at all. Its nothing but print screens from here on out! Does it matter which one, or are they all good? which one do you use?
This is really good, you have nothing to worry about. although the nose looks a bit bent to the right from his point of view.

this is very good, the only thing I noticed is that he looks more like Mel Gibson than Heath ledger, especially through the nose/bridge/eye area. Good work and keep it up.
This is fabulous
The ONE thing I noticed---turn your head sideways to see the nose from an up and down perspective. You missed adding the reflected light! You know, the little sliver of light blue light that was in the photo? Add that and round the nose out a bit too. You could take that photo and whip it into PS and keep working on it.
It's fantastic even DESPITE that detail, though. Great job
The only way to fly is by the seat of your pants!
spaztastic- lol I totally see what your talking about. He does resemble mel gibson, especially in the eyes. Its not even brave heart mel gibson, either. Its the anti semetic, drug ravaged mugshot gibson. I need to figure out how to fix that.
Banshii- Ya, ill have to take this into PS. Im not sure how i forgot the reflected light. Atleast with photoshop i can flip the image around, so maybe i can get rid of some of the mel gibson-ness at the same time lol.
Okay, I took the drawing into photoshop and messed around with it. Heres the update.
-I noticed that his eyes were alittle big, so i shrunk them abit. I also moved them around so they lined up better. I also added purple highlights onto his eyelids.
-I tweaked his nose abit, defined the shape of the nostril more, added a reflection highlight (hopefully in the right place ) and altered the shadows.
- I added red to his lips, and changed the shape.
- I lowered how far his scars extended and narrowed his face. I also changed the shape of his brow and cheek slightly.
-Finally, I tweaked the colour balance and got it closer to the reference.
Let me know what you think. While it's in photoshop, i am going to extend the borders so you can see the top of his head, and alittle more of his jacket, so it doesn't feel as claustrophobic, although, maybe thats a good thing. Im also going to add alittle texture to the image, but i'll wait until i have all my anatomy issues in check before i go that far.
