Another update, with superpowers now! Thanks Sentinel, I'll be adding some more contrasty colors.
Uhh, I never heard that before.. I shall try that next time, thank you..
You gave me an lightbulb moment LOL
*hopefully I won't forget to post in the finals tomorrow.
Become one of my minions and you too can be trim and marvelesque...
is that a word?
Looking good so far guys - I may leave mine if I start fiddling I may do too much and screw it up ..
Hi there! It has been a long time since I've been here. First I was busy, then I was lazy, then I was divided from my computer.
I just logged in today, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. After I looked through a complete ten pages of work. Holy man! Rockin' awesome stuff.
I'd appreciate any input you can give me on this. Please!
I would talk more but I'm confusing myself. O.o
Nobody said villains couldn't be colorful
Im trying to go for that rich color that NC Wyeth, Howard Pyle, and Dean Cornwell played with in their pirate paintings.
thanks for the crit, I'd mostly noticed the anatomy issues but I'm just lazy and work my way down altering as I go ^^;
I kinda keep cutting it off at different sizes just to try and find a good composition really, and to try and make the details easier to see as #i've apparently made things too small lately :p

DecayingLolita: Fantastic character design, however, the background needs some work. Let it complement the character, rather than do nothing for the image. This is a lesson I just recently learned .
Here is W.I.P, as a Villain, in the vein of "heroes" i dont have much of a super villain costume/uniform, powers are very generic glowy hand blast things so far but that may change.
I suppose the mask may have to go, what do you guys think?
About ready to star coloring.. The "flame" is going to be psychic tendrils, instead, sense everyone is doing fire or ice. x.x;
Any ideas for a background?
If It Weren't For Physics and Law Enforcement, I'd Be Unstoppable..
@DecayingLolita I love where you are going with this one. I wonder how a background would look?
@Kaizer Havoc and mayhem.
Man I really need to stop commenting and get myself working on drawing myself.
I guess this is it for the night.
Every super-villain needs a gimmick... mine is Red Riding Hood. Not so much super powers as super-evil and super-murderous. She will eventually be holding an axe (a la woodsman).
I was thinking plaid shirt but its proving pretty difficult... any suggestions or criticisms would be nice.
(I know the linework is not so hot, that's just a guideline and won't be in the final).
Well, I'm as finished as I'm going to be as I have at least three finals left over from last semester than need to be complete by... tomorrow
So unless enough people hate it, this is what it is.
BTW we do have until Sunday if you did want to work on it more after your finals are done.
I wish I knew I was gonna turn it into a Japanese-esque painting when I began. Might've been able to cater the design to the overall concept a bit better ;D
If I actually get my caboose moving and complete these finals, I'll definitely give that a try along with all the other things that are very, very wrong with this.
update on page 5
if anyone is interested i am saving a LOT of steps out for a tutorial
sooo close to final but not yet
still have another night in my hotel to work on it hahahaha
and if anyone is wondering why this is the evil me
that tentacle is a rat tail (which i do have, its horrible HAHAHAAH)
and as for being a cyborg
i have a terrible knee and crazy back problems so i would LOVE a new spine hahaha
Holy crap, a lot of great stuff again
Trevor: As awesome as he looks, I think it's more of an edgy hero (a bit like the guy from Dark Sector meets Solid Snake with a bit of Prototype), than a villain. You'd still have my vote though :p
Dirk: I love it, but you should draw yourself as the Japanese Bird Of Paradise from last thursday

The final tests at Uni is over... Wheeeeee!!! Now I can plunge right into my villainity.
Super powers are only interesting, if they have some kind of restriction to them. Just being ultra strong or having psychic powers is lame. Take the X-Men for example. The one with the lasereyes has to wear his glasses all the time and the girl that can kill people by touching them can't touch her loved ones...
So I decided, that my power would be that I could appear and disappear wherever I want, IF there are shadows... I can only vanish into shadows, so if you wanna catch me, you better get some huge lights!
Heres my Wip so far, colors blocked in... I think the neck is a little too wide
Didn't know, that drawing digitally is so much fun, I only did this like 2, 3 times before. But now, that I have some free time, I think I'm gonna spend it with my little bamboo... *hugswacom*
Maybe I'll finish this, even though I don't think it will be going to poll anyhow.
What great job has everybody done on this session!
Hope I'm not to late and I'll find a way to finish it...
Here's my concept:
Due to a mistreatment of a rare bacteria infection as asthma that implicated steroid abuse, NObreathing, with her lungs completely destroyed, found a way to survive. She needs huge O2 quantities that only by processing Earth's atmosphere can be supplied, and that makes her not a nice person. She is bounded to a tornado machine, with the only superpower that steroids can can give: super aggressivity!
Hey, Trev, great rendering as usual but that coffin nail lighter's more than a little suggestive
Continuity Break -- my sketchbook
Kata femme -- a 3D model WIP, now updated!
The Giordano Gambit -- Barsoomian Zingball at its best!
Valkyrie Ascending -- now updated with the second in a series!
ArmaRagnaGeddonRock-yer-Yuga! -- celeztial shitz 'n' gigglez
I . Miss . America -- "colored [eyes] may hypnotize..."
"In the end, Razputin, aren't we all just dogs playing poker?"
-- Edgar Teglee
Baxter-E, I'm a bit late in posting this, but my 2 cents: I prefer the color version on the right. The yellow/green tinted one.
Gerbil Fetus - Personally I like the idea of a "heroes" everyday clothes villain. Important to oomph up the special powers and perhaps special glow, so there's no doubt whatso-ever. My gut feeling. Only 2 cents worth of opinionated stuff, tho.
Murkus, - little red riding hood suits you as a gimmick.
Artofinca - The version where your back is turned to us, kind of shuts us out. I prefer the silhuette that holds on to his hat. You remind me of the creative fashion designers, with the draping and amazing fabrics.
Enjoying all the entries - WIPS - I've seen so far.
Checked out Trevor on page 5. Yeah, lol, very suggestive ... snake... there.
Good work, though. Like it.
It's cool to drop one that isn't TOO off (appropriately named and tagged) in the finals thread and replace it later with a more refined version, right? I may get jammed up right at the end here, and I'm not sure I'll be able to give it any time tomorrow.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).
So, my idea was to make a Street Fighter villain, complete with idle animation. The transformation animation is still missing, here' s what I have so far, and some references of my ugly face. Tomorrow I will make a complete stuff attached together.
Daestwen: Is pixelgraphics OK for CHOW? I will provide some phases of the process, and I can also write down how I made this.
