So same general place, but just at gloria jeans not starbucks.
For the last month or so a group of us have been trying to keep a sketch group going. Anyone who watches openanewworlds's sketch thread would have heard about it. We tend to meet around 10, and draw for however long we feel like.
We would like some more people to come along, and join in.
awesome, yeah we hold it weekly , so it should be on this Saturday as well. I'm also dragging a few peeps along from work on sat so there should be more people than last sat.
A guy called security in the mall last sketch meet on Openanewworld for drawing him.... man he was an asshole.
Though the night after i did a bit of research into the law and people have no rights to their appearance whatsoever. You can take as many photos and drawings in public as you want, its what you do with them that's illegal.

Once again, it was super awesome to meet y'all today. Looking forward to doing it again next week (maybe in a more spacious environment? Lol!
There's Starbucks down on Elizabeth/Albert St with outside seating and shiteloads of people crossing that intersection from Borders to the Myer Center, etc. If the resident bikies don't have a problem with it, maybe we could try there? Though it could be an issue in wet weather. It at least has a bit more room anyway. Just suggesting.
It's almost that time again, did you find somewhere better than the Spoon?
There's still my suggestion of Starbucks on Albert/Elizabeth Sts. There's Aroma's on Elizabeth St (just up from the Wintergarden food court, near the Hilton). It's pretty noisy though with the traffic echoing off the walls. I don't know if it would be an ideal locale, but we could always try it and see.
Agreed. Hats and suncream would be good for people to bring with them too, in case we can't get under the umbrellas again.
Perhaps a contingency plan for rainy days, such as in the Wintergarden or Myer Center food courts? Location is a bit iffy, since they're big places and seating is unpredictable. But mobile phones are helpful in that regard :3
Honestly, I personally prefer the Saturday morning shindigs that have been happening. Not only does it get me out and about and enjoying the day, it's affordable for me, unlike drink and draw nights (which can easily be overdone and then become drink and scrawl nights). But if the consensus overrules, I will acquiesce.
Sorry you were all by yourself Murray
Hopefully won't happen again.
