Okay so I'm a junior at BU, majoring in Graphic Design. Long story short, I now want to go into concept art rather than advertising design, and BU doesn't offer illustration, animation, or anything even similar. I've been taking basic figure drawing classes, and a 3D animation course, but I'm at a loss for anything else I can do to make up for this. Obviously it's too late for me to bother transferring, plus I'm too broke to afford another school (I'm here on an almost free ride). I've gone to as many professors as I can to ask for advice here, and none of them seem to have even heard of the idea of film and video game concept art, so they haven't been able to offer any advice.
I draw pretty much 24/7, whenever I can, but I feel like I've hit a wall where I just don't know what to do next. I've had *no* college experience in illustration, so I'm a little hesitant as to if I should just go to grad school for illustration, or what? I'm not even sure what kind of a portfolio I should be putting together at this point, as all of the work that I do in class is designing business cards and packages and whatnot, which I wouldn't think would be at all appropriate for an illustration port.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking around the forums at many other's work, but I feel as though I've confused myself even more.
