Your studies are coming along well although try drawing people from life to get a better idea of different heads in particular, there are some real freaks out there . I fell into the trap of drawing too similar people when drawing crowds.
Really like your digital painting though, I'm bloody awful at it.
With the woman your trying to draw, try building her skeleton first [rough and lightly with pencil] to get an idea of her posture. I found that understanding the skeleton of figures first really helped. The old stickman thing basically.

Hi and nice work so far, I really love what Sepulverture had to say with the quick lines, I'm trying this on a regular basis and it is helping also it adds pure energy to your work, look at Kev Ferrara's (he's on this forum, hope I spelled it right) work for sure lines, he's amazing. I've read the books your referring to and I read what you posted in the study section, I really like what you've said about feeling the piece and visualizing!! These are very good insights. Thank you. I like the woman horse idea.

Kev's stuff looks great. I am working on my tonal range and line savvy at the moment. It's just a matter of me not doing it that's the problem for me. I have begun focusing on it. I also got a good comment somewhere that seems to help, to start with slow sure lines and then speed them up as I gain proficiency. I just needed a way to start.
Thanks, I agree it's just that I have trouble getting stuff to stick around. I make an observation now and then I might forget it or what I was looking at and how.

Liking the skeleton studies, next up is muscles and im looking foward to see how you'll tackle those.
Maybe it would help more if you tried a different approach, get a photo of a person, or if you can draw from real life. In my experience real life is the greatest teacher.
whaha! love those skeletons. and those dancing horses; they funny. good too. 2 things that got my eye: #57: keep the back legs ona plane farther from the viewer then the front - from this perspective the hooves from the back legs are closer to us.
48: you're using too many lines in you sketch. I know a tablet can be a little awkward at first. still, use 1 long flowing line and things should get easier.

I've noticed your line work could use improvement. As evident in your study of the nude girl on the tree stump, your drawing of a long line is made up of several small movements from your wrist. Try using your entire arm rather than only your wrist. By using your arm means that you can draw lines in one continuous movement. Remember to keep your wrist still and move your entire arm in one long movement from your shoulder. Hope that helps.

It's good that your breaking down your objects of study into more comprehensible parts. But don't forget that these parts are still part of a whole. When you have that mind set, then will your figures have that fluid and oneness they lack now. Great progress so far.
