I haven't had a response to my thread here, but I gave it a shot anyway. I did have a reference image, but, it still looks like a lumpy tree. Any thoughts?

"Work is more fun than fun."
"Art is supposed to punch you in the brain, and it's supposed to stay punched."
Maybe it's the thick lines, but it seems really "solid" to me.
I agree it looks like a tree, but there's nothing wrong with trees! Just change the title of the drawing, and you're in business missy!
'Cuz life is full of your regrets, and I should be one...
Just a thought,
There is no ground roar, no dust being blown down and outward like you'd see in a blast.
I know it's a rubbish example and I made it small because it's shoddily put together.
It was just a thought.
Oh and the base was thickened.
I think it would be kind of helpful if you widened the bottom and didn't give it such a skinny mid section. Scot made a decent drawing, but whether or not you decide to make the base that thick is up to preference I would think. The main problem is in the defining lines in the mushroom "stem". Make them a lot thinner.

Just erase the lines in the middle of the base, it looks like a tree lining, and therefore make your drawing look like a tree
