Woo, good to see you have been keeping up with your anatomy sketches! They are looking excellent, some feel like they are brimming with life.
Nice to see you are doing some digital painting - you gona paint that CHOW? I'd like to do a CHOW, but I'd never have it done by the end of the week...
A great digital painting book is D'artiste Digital Painting. I have the first one, and it is a beautiful even just to look at, nevermind learn from. Quite pricey though (may be cheaper now mind).
Kidult, thank you
kingkostas thank you for the suggestion, I will try that way
Keenir thank you
algenpfleger glad to see you here!! For the fineliner, I must thank you for the inspiration! It's pretty hard to draw that way O_o but it seems helpful too, so... ^_^
GaussianRaider materiale per gli studi in che senso? O_o
GaussianRaider thank youuuu! About the CHOW...NOOOO I'm not gonna paint it nor participate! I'm too noooooob for it! I'll need way more exercise and practice in order to be ready for a CHOW ^^ but the themes are inspiring, so I have fun with them!
I know the d'Artiste book, but yes, really too expensive for me :p
No updates this time I have a bad cold, yesterday I had some difficulties in breathing (LOL) and my mind was like a blank...well, it happens
Hi Alice, thanks for leaving me some comments, always good to have a friendly critique, I have taken your advice and really trying to concentrate on movement :-)
Your sketchbook is shaping up very nicely, kinda kicking my butt right now, but that's good, gives me more energy to catch up hehe. The Sargent studies are wicked! He's such a cool artist =)
Keep it up, always interested to see your new work!
You seem to have a lovely way of looking at things. Amazing detail in your studies. Very fiiine...
I can't swallow the feeling that by doing so many studies it is possible you are not creating pictures that are consummate in themselves.. so, while it certainly is difficult to reprove your fine skill, I long that you create pieces representing ideas more than continual figure studies. For, you must have some lovely dear ideas in your head. Your pictures tell me immediately that you enjoy anatomical science... uh... but it just makes me curious to see some of your thoughts and feeling mingled more strongly into you talent.
One of your January 18th, 2009 submitions had some of this character that I am mean. Mm.
Besides, how are you doing? I'm really kinda curious~ Are you involved in schooling right now. I noticed your family was the subject of a few of your drawings, have you spent time with them, do you do so often?
&&&Chronological journal, everyone welcome, visit & we will talk like the best jazz musicians: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...10#post2063310
I'm alive! ^_^
I spent the past week ill and with a LOT of strong panic attacks, not funny at all.
My mind was completely blank and I was feeling so badddddd...
Oh well now things seems to get better, so it's time to update.
Some works before getting desperately ill, and some from yesterday
Royzy here they are!
AlexTooth I'm curious to see your imrpovements! Thank you for the visit
AlsomVintir thank you for your comment. I dunno, somethimes I feel like drawing from my insane mind, and somethimes I feel like doing studies...the important thing is to draw, I enjoy both things
I don't go to any school and I live with my family, this is why you see drawings of them so frequently.
Munin Raven thaaaank you!
Nice lines on the pen works!
Yeah nice cross hatch. And these life inks are really nice.
You are doing the studies to be able to present 100% of whats in your mind. But as Alsom said its good to make some pauses to let your mind refresh. And you did it with some characters you threw here.
You got to see them improve from time to time.So keep up!!!
Hey Alice sorry to hear you have not been well I have similar things but not that bad! There is nothing like Art therapy I have found, before I used to sink into video games, but drawing is waaay better =) I love your new pics, these are some of the best in the SB I think, your lines and drawing from life are amazing! reminds me to practice =)) cya
Kidult thank you thank you
Kingkostas always glad to see you here ...and yes, somethimes I have some ideas in my mind, but then I'm not able to render them...or to visualize them...but I think it can happens, and that when it will be the right time I will draw the spooky images I have in my mind I'm still searching my style and mood and wathever, so...no need to rush, I'm enjoying my studies
Alex I'm sorry you have those problems I suffer of panic attacks since 5 years, they have completely destroyed my life; I am able to go out from home for little walks since 2 months, before that I was always at home and scared like hell ^_^
Games are useful when the fear it's really strong, they help me to dive into something that can absorb my mind.
I can't draw while I'm too scared, all that trembling and such doesn't help! LOL
And after that crisis, the mind is like torn apart, so...I see so many things inside me, but I'm really not able to draw them ^_^
And yes! Continue to practice! My first drawings of my mum were really awful...and my family hated me when I forced them to stand and pose. Now things are getting better, I can draw them also if they move to breath! LOOOL
Dont fear nothing cause you have the most powerful weapon in your hands, and thats your pencil.
We live our lives everyday instead of doing animal life. You know it may seem easy sometimes but actually we are hard workers spending a lot of our life spawn into drawing. But actually we earn a lot.As "artists" we always try to absorb as many information as possible. After a point we start philosophy and while advancing we start understanding a lot of things about our world.
Dont know about that panic attacks but i am sure you can fight them, cause you are strong, and about videogames, sometimes really they help you open your eyes.
KEEP UP UPGRADING YOUR WEAPON NO MATTER WHAT!!!
ill be here watching
hey alice nice to here you're doing well after being ill, it really doesn't sound fun ...
but what really fun is to look at your linework from life hmmm they're so nice, and a big improvement in contrast to your first one!!
your char. desgin in the first post of the new batch reminds me of my char. design alot gotta get my stuff scanned
always nice to stop here and see your improvments!
kingkostas thank you for the encouragement ^_^
Daniel Always!! :p
Hygami scan scan scan! I'm curious!!
Work has kept me pretty busy in those days, so I had to slow down a little with my studies and drawings.
Yesterday I finally managed to sketch in the evening; I played around the theme of this week's CHOW, Titania, the queen of faeries.
Alex, I just have to say thanks to my old digital camera ^_^ The drawings are blue ink on white paper, but this is the result of my photo :p
I tried to adjust in photoshop, but it became all messy and I decided to leave it that way
really nice, with the last one upgraded with motion.Only the first seem a little like masks and lose some of their structure but all of them in general very good.
Keep it up!!!
yes yes the first ones where intended to be masks...just a weird idea that came in my mind LOL
Little update...I'm playing with my sketch of Titania; at the moment, using Painter.
Oh you really done alot since I last check out your sketchbook
You're starting to get a nice flow of movements in your pictures, keep it up and you definitely should participate in CHOW!
girl thos lines are the bomb...really lovely and that last char is really reminding me of the character I've been drawing a few days ago as I said! that's scary O_o really gote get my stuff scanned but i got some ps drawingup tho
keep it up you know I'll be stopping by
Ehi, Alice, dai una occhiata a questo thread, è il covo degli italiani
Sorry to hear you were ill, but it doesn't seem to have had a negative effect on your drawing. Those simple line sketches are so strong, and the last CHOW underwater (?) figure is superb. Very nice flow to it.
Hey, I'm in love with your line drawings. You have such a steady hand and my work is so very messy :<
I know what panic attacks are like, I've been fighting them myself. So far the only thing that helps is if you tell yourself.. "what can I do right now? and what can't I do? "Then just do what you CAN.
Jack Sparrow has a lot of wisdom ;D
I hope you're fine, I like you're work! Come on!
