Good ol Johnny Depp, here's a charcoal study from ref. Any Crits WElcome.
wauw nice. I'm a newbie in charcoals. Can you give some tips or how do you did it ?
ah, you finally post something... really no crits or anything. Just saying what up. Now if you could only post your sketchbook stuff, and show people how its done. Goodtimes. See ya class.
Noodle-there's a lot to take into consideration, if you are a newbie, think simple forms when you are constructing the head/hand/figure. Take as much time as you need and don't rush yourself. WHen starting to a very light lay-in of the shapes that you see, then use a simple 2 value system to spot your lights and darks. You should start one and post it so we can see where you are heading and wat you should work on.
TIny-check the sketchbook category under sketches and doodles, you'll see mine and stephen's there.
I'ts about time! Where you been? Study looks good, lets see some lifedrawing!

How big is this? Its seems to be ALOT of detail for such a small size and with charcoal none the less.
Don't just practice. Also Practice the right things, the right way.
What do you mean... "THE RUMS GONE"... Why is the RUM gone!?!
I like... eyes just seem a little big... but the same thing happened to me when i drew him... everything else is handled nicely... not over Rendered.
