tmbritton- Hay cheers Tom, thanks for the vist!
Added some highlights, and a quick page of sketches.
you seem to have quit an obvious hard edge kinda style, which is not a bad thing however i think u would actually learn A LOT just by changing it for the sake of changing it!. as in copy and study other artist styles have a look at comic artist and other concept artist on the net ull find that each artist often has their own original way of painting or drawing, heck! look at a few fine artist if you like. iv only just started doing this and i have notice some improvements. u learn a lot and it just keeps the mind fresh thats all.
man.... sorry for the massive comment haha.
rasta-art- Hay thanks man, I think I get what you mean and I'll definitely take it on and give it a try!
so cheers Ben.
In a rush, just a quick (real quick, 15min) photo study.
well, Id say that this is real good for 15 min!
nice job on the greens, I think there usually quite hard, for me at least
oh, and 5* stuff up there, excellent sketchez…

Very good sketches, man! I really like the Whitaker study!
The last photo study needs a little bit of atmospheric perspective, and it's a little bit skewed.. but hey... it's a 15 minute speedy Just thought I'd crit as well as haha
just wondering what year are you in and what subjects are you taking at school? im in yr 13 and taking 3 arts and its killing me (first time i've ever taken any art at school way more paper work than i expected)
by looking at the amount and quality of your stuff, it looks like you're handling school a lot better than me!
i'd love to see more pencil sketches and renders. just a personal opinion!
Holy shit, 13 posts, you guys are awesome!
bigfooTrooper- Haha, thanks man! Yeah greens are quite hard some times, cheers.
young paddy1- Hay cheers Paddy, Really glad you like, thanks for you post man!

snootchy- And thanks yet again snootchy, your support is much appreciated. So cheers!
dCepT- Hay dC cheers man, glad you dig the study, and I'll try to work a little bit more on that atmospheric perspective you speak of!
Bill- Hi again Bill and cheers, yeah I'll keep up those figure studies, and I'm sure it's not that bad in Ohio... in fact I bet its a warm sunny day, with clear blue skies and your looking out over a beautiful blue ocean just like I'm I now... Or maybe not...
Brun- Wow Brun an honor to see you in here dude, I love you work!
yj-dc-tc- Hi Yen-ju. Umm, well I'm in year 12, and this year I'm doing all my school work through the Correspondence School. Which is really cool as I still have all the same subjects and shit, but I can do them when I want really, as long as I get them done by the end of the day.
And I don't take any art subjects through school. I used to, but dude it just takes up too much time, and I've learnt soooo much more through this site alone.
So I really don't think I'm handling school much better than you, I'm just handling it differently. Cheers
Anther quick photo study (30- 45 min) I'm still finding theres a struggle, so I'll try to do more.
And some Al.chemy and some more character work.
And I've got more drawings that I'll scan tomorrow.

ged deim boi! Ei that wi tol´ju not´e com sniffin´round thiis here parts egain! DO ye heer me?!?!
Na just kiddin. Stuff is looking kinda cool, but I would love to see you taking on something a bit more structured. Like a project. Anyhoot, keep rocking the Jailhouse!
Very very nice study on the photos. Just one quick thing, for the cabin on the mountain side, the shed attached to the structure, the roof of it maybe off on perspective on the left side, it may also be a little wide. But these are just little things, you are totally rocking these down.
always a pleasure visiting,
holy shit man! that shack is awesome (blue fiery chicka would possibly look better with some lovely blue fiery highlights on her skin). this is a quick quick quick comment but you're doing so well keep driving!
What an overwhelming lesson to all artists! Be not afraid of absurdity; do not shrink from the fantastic. Within a dilemma, choose the most unheard-of, the most dangerous, solution. Be brave, be brave! - Isak Dinesen
Hey, Matt!! Wow you're doing really well! You're on the right track and obviously checking yourself often against what you're learning and what you think you should be learning. Only critique I have for you is don't put borders around your art!!! Those photo studies would show so much better without them and just the raw, untouched paint instead.
Give it a shot
Reject-D- hay thanks man, And yeah that's a good point, I've never really spent more than an hour on a character... so that may have to change!
Rushlord- Hay cheers mate, really glad you like!
areve- Well thanks very much, you've got some awesome stuff in your sb as well!
Mischeviouslittleelf- Haha, always enjoy your visits here man! And I hear you about trying to do something a bit more structured, Maybe I'll try to do a fully rendered character or something... cheers E!
Alm0st- Hi Frank, Yeah I'm really not that great with perspective, so I'll try to do more like this, cheers for the crits n' comments mate!
Grandmassa Mr. Spect- Haha, cheers man, and I bow to YOU!
gutss- Hay thanks! Great idea about the highlights on the Blue chick, and thanks for "you quick quick quick comment" !
IanE- Well thanks Ian! Cheers for the encouragement and crits, I'll leave out the borders from now on.
Some quick sketches n' studies,
And I've started (as suggested by Reject & elf) work on a new character. I hope to spend a bit more time on this one, I've found some awesome reff, and some may try to make it a bit more realistic.
lookin good! hey dude i got more updates if your interested..
but yea these look great! just for you to keep in mind i spend about an hour to two hours on my sketches (because i render them out) and my digitals take between 9 hours if i want to make them illustrations just for you to keep in mind though..
Giorge - Thanks for dropping by mate, and Yeah I'll try not to forget!
Reject-D- Oh cool man I'll go check em' out! And wow 9 hours? No wonder your stuff looks so cool!
Just a little update,
A roud 1 and a half hours spent so far.
