it started as a color practice. im happy with the light and all but not with the mood. it should be thicker and more intense. like the monster is watching you, having control over you but not devouring, it wants you to starve. a large part of the hopelessness is also played by the forrest light.
and there is something wrong with the depth in the foreground. any ideas?

Try having the trees thicker and darken the background around the creature.
