800 or 1024 sized images are fine for this Voting stage, but please remember that high-res versions are great for 2DArtist magazine, so if you come in the top 10 we'd love it if you could email accross your high-res versions.
Please post all entries in this thread before 8th November 2008 10:30AM GMT.
Only entries posted in the SUPER Stylised Challenge - October 2008 - Scarecrow - VOTING! thread before this date will be eligible for Voting!
Voting will then start immediately afterwards and will run until 15th November 2008 10:30AM GMT.
We will post to commence the Voting on the 8th November. Voting will be the same as last month, with each voter putting forward their top 3 entries, in order: 3pts for a 1st place, 2pts for 2nd, and 1pt for 3rd. This means that we will all have to choose very carefully!
Please feel free to give reasons for your selection, as it will be good feedback for everyone!
Thanks again for the great work that you have all put in. We look forward to this month's entries! Good luck, everyone!
Many thanks for all your hard work!

This is my final called 'Freedom?'
Here's mine - Scary Crows. Hand illustrated with photoshop treatments.
Relaxing after a hard day at work and thinking about what's for dinner.
Our cover scarecrow has just finished doing 200 squash-squats and downed a strawberry and straw protein drink...
I looked at yours, now you look at mine...sketchbook here

This picture illustrates a woman taking a scarecrow home with the intention of having sex.
I have simplified the background detail in order to make her shadow in tune, and to make the eye of the viewer focus on the scarecrow and the shadow of the woman.
I chose intentionally not to make holes in the cloth of the scarecrow for two reasons. First of all to make him more human and fashion aware, so that he would seem more attractive to a woman. Secondly to draw the scarecrow in a less traditional way.
Good Luck Everyone!
Why's that Scarecrow got...? Run! RUN!!
"Only after you master the basic tools of the medium and are able to go beyond them to express your ideas in creative and even artistic ways will your work will be considered praiseworthy even exemplary."
good luck folk
this my final ilustration, thanks
hello, thanks everyone for posting! voting can now begin - good luck to all!
remember: 3 points go to 1st place, 2 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd; reasons behind your votes are always helpful for the entrants, but not compulsory.
good luck everyone and thanks for supporting these challenges!
There were a lot of compositions and concepts that were eerily similar this month...so I decided to vote for ones which were different and interesting.
1st fedezz - super stylised and something I'd stick on my wall
2nd freddydark - nice ET in the moon
3rd entdroid - because coloured pencils are always pretty to look at. and the cloud is cool...
1st Urih_pta2- the concepts really original and i like the lighting ad style
2nd gnahz- The yellow tint of the pic gives it a almost rustic feeling but then the style is more new
3rd entdroid- i like colored pencils lol
1- madhatter106: just freak me out
2-ruth2m: love the colours
3-bstsk : i like his style
good luck everyone!
Is anyone able to vote?
1. freddydark - liked the graveyard scene. and that is one scary scarecrow.
2. Madhatter106 - that was great! loved the humor in this and the scarecrow freaks me out!
3. Entdroid - loved the feel of the piece. And the colour pencil was awesome to look at.
Voting. It was dissapointing to see other people taking 'inspiration' from others ideas. You could see it happening within the WIP thread and so far it seems some of the original ideas are failing because of this.
So, I've decided to vote for:
1. madhatter106 - the Fitness Guru. One of the original ideas and the fact that no one else had thought of putting other vegetables in the picture.
2. fedezz - The Blue Boy. I like the 'cool' colour scheme and the sad little pumpkin.
3. gnahz - I like the light beam blinding scarecrows into submission.
