Your anatomy studies are impressive, the coloring looks a bit bland though, maybe a bit more shading.
Some sketches from class this week. I did more work this week just have to wait till it comes down off the wall.
Learned how to sight properly this week which has been a huge help when drawing from life.
The top 3 images are on 18x24 paper and the last is a sketchbook entry from a 5x7 photo
I really love the fluidity of the figures, particularly on the last page. They never seem confined to the position they're drawn in. And the range of value on the digital study was startling. I'm quite envious, all I seem to be able to muster is black, grey, and white XD. I'll have to work hard to improve and start looking like you now.
I have nothing interesting to say but here's my sketchbook, perhaps you'll think I've drawn something interesting XD http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=167964
Thanks Robert. The last drawing was loosely based on a photo ref.
This post is the first colored pencil drawing I've done. I broke the continuity on it pretty bad which has discouraged me from finishing it.
I started off with the blue siding but I put way to much highlight and I went to dark with the values. So I tried to make it more violet
I need to be there in 3 years or less.
Ok this is something im working on for a class assignment. We had to take an object and draw 3 different views of it. I took one of my sons transformers toys and did this drawing in colored pencil.
I have to do one view with analogous colors then another in complimentary colors. And the last in expressive colors.
My problem is on the blue robot. Im supposed to put orange in it somehow. I put it in photoshop and sketched out launching one of the missiles from his shoulder and the reflected light would justify the orange highlights. Then he said no missiles this is a life drawing....
The background is going to be 20%black and violet pastel i think
Coming down to the homestretch now.
One lesson ive learned from this one was I should have followed good advice and had a better line drawing at the beginning. I pretty much free handed this and it shows.
Im gunna tighten it up a bit more before class in the morning where I can get a better photo
18x24 canson paper, charcoal,colored pencil,pastel
Some nice work on show here, look forward to future postings.
Ok so I spent the waking portions of the last two days figuring out how people were doing all these cool things with live screen captures and youtube etc etc.
I just started a new sketchbook here
I wanted to put it in here but the this thread but it isnt set up to embed that player here
Anyway Im trying to step it up a notch and finish up the year strong.
Things like the Chuistream and Artcast get me worked up and even Dave Rapoza has got a kick ass show which Im sure you already know about.
I know I still have a long way to go and hopefully live feedback with help me progress faster. So thanks to everyone for sharing and thanks for your feedback as always.
