Made a new air genasi character in D&D and I was having some fun doing an illustration for him. Not completely done but here's what I have for today. I plan on finishing the hand and maybe redoing the gauntlet, the clothes need some polish too. There might be issues with the canvas color, I might do something with it to get his head and hair to pop out a bit. I'm also having problem with color profiles, apparently the color profile that I'm working in Photoshop is NOT the same profile that it uses to save my work, so my images are coming out lighter and with a blue tint to them :/
VoidRipper! Love it, saved!
Oooh, new post... I am the sexay man.
I think I'll talk about my day before I let you see the picture though.
I've been good, had a good day; It wasn't that productive but I got a surge of painting-ability towards the end at work so I'm pretty happy. I had hoped to carry that surge with me going home but now I'm just tired, everything feels heavy.
Anyway, team chow is coming along, I'm hoping everyone comes through, the deadline move to Saturday helped a lot actually, it smoothed over the scheduling really well. I hope to have painted a character tonight and my second character tomorrow night. I'm a bit worried about consistency (even though I've said time and again that the challenge -isn't- about consistency). Its not so much as style consistency that I'm worried about but rather production value. I say production value and not quality value because we didn't make a team matching everyone's abilities but rather by energy, and the fact that we're all from vent. So I just hope that everyone carries through and spends some good effort on their work and not just blow it off.
Anyway, to make a smooth segway, my art post for today is actually my second character I had to draw for the team chow. I was meant to just do one but Troubadour got swamped by school and I'm fairly free. It was a fun character to do, even though I didn't put as much time into it.
Pfft, this topic is gathering quite a bit of dust. I started a page of portraits at work whenever I had some downtime. This is where its at the moment. I'm feeling the need to do a big painting so maybe I'll start one soon.
Hopefully this update sort shows me trying to get back to my drawing roots, respecting the linework just for it being linework instead of just assuming that it will be painted over and cutting corners.
