Sketchbook pages, first page is sketches and the rest are studies
Screencaps and photostudies
Sketches from all over, the zombie dude is olddd
Sketch I did for a possible Peter Pan cover, dunno if I'll get round to it
Book cover for PETE by Scott Phillips, due out around November
And a little experiment with screentones, always admire good manga artists who can use them tastefully. Still got a lot to try out still
really nice updates Sam, loving the studies, especially the ones from aliens and the thing!! awesome!! also, really neat job testing out those manga scratch style! very cool!
Great work here sam, looking forward to more.
Aaannddd a fairly shameless application of the Alien screencap from my mind. This was more of an exercise in recreating the essence of the shot rather than creating something mindblowingly original...You can see how my brain tried making everything seem like its from a normal perspective haha
hey man , your gallery is truly inspiring and amazing , keep it up .....cheers
I really like your moleskine sketches!
Sketchbook - freakmod wants to learn how to draw really well
Its sketchbooks like these that make me realize how much i wasted my time art wise o.o, i love this sketchbook though really enjoy looking at it, i need to draw more!!!
Help me improve!
Thanks for all the feedback! The words of encouragement really do help more than you know when I feel shitty
Got some work stuff I wanna show but as usual it's NDA sucks when it feels like I've done nothing because I have nothing to show. Got a new Storm Brewer concept in the works and personal illus on the go so they should be done soon! Keep an eye out
Sooo here's some steps to that 'Cave Exploration' piece. As you can see I'm kinda shitty when it comes to planning with personal work. This is kinda half laziness, half intentional. With freelance, a big thing is showing the client the thumbnails, they pick one, and then you paint it. It's definitely more efficient but I do enjoy (for the most part) playing with ideas as I go with personal stuff. I guess I kinda shoot myself in the foot sometimes though
Michael Hampton studies
Anddd some fun sketching. I usually take breaks by going and harassing my brother or curling up in a ball and crying, but I figured I might just start doing some quick 15 minute things instead
Love ya work mate! It really shows from your first images until now how much work you've put in. Good on ya!

the cave pic looks mysterious especially with the blue lights in the top and green lights on the wizard frog , looks like a scene from a movie ...... really awesome
