Hello hello Sam!
Nice rendering, nice tonal work and good colour harmony in your pieces, but the one thing that bugs me is how stiff your figures (from imagination) are.
Try thinking about gesture lines, use active and inactive sides (see Bridgman) to convey motion, tilt your big masses more, try stuff, you know?
surus: haha thanks man!
eekolite: Lol alright, cheers
AvisNocturna: Yeah I'm gonna start making pieces that are more like OHSHIT! rather than some guy stood in a woods looking boring, cheers
Medusoid: Thanks buddy
a la bapsi: Haha really? I find most of the stuff I do really difficult. But yeah I'm planning on doing more enviros, mainly interiors, and getting into mech designs and things. Cheers
xinranliu: I'll look into it thanks man!
More hands and then some Bridgman
An acrylic for school I'm working on, still trying to figure out acrylic paint as I do it, and made the mistake of priming my canvas with a really really vibrant colour, which has sort of fucked everything up.
Another warm up thing to get all the shit out of the way
And 2 studies from A Fistful of Dollars, Sergio Leone is the man...but I suck

a la bapsi: cheers
Jovian M: Thanks petal
Mischeviouslittleelf: Thanks man Will do, I need to work harder!
So I think I've caught a bug or something. I feel run down all the time, can't concentrate, and whenever I eat I feel like I'm gonna be sick. Trying to push through by drawing but it just makes me feel like crap when it doesn't turn out right because I can't work right D: really frustrating, I want to get on with killing this shit! I've been putting a lot of time into a present for my folks, theres not much point in putting that on till its done though
A little sketch trying to use more designs for armour and stuff. I felt really lost so I basically got loads of images of artists I like doing it 10x better and basically copied lots of different characteristics
And a screencap from The Shining..trying to start doing interiors, this looks like ass D:
Another hand, because I had 20 minutes to spare at some point
I am not sure if i have ever made a comment here, but if that is the case its a damn good time to! really neat lookin' stuff, i like the way you render naturally with bigger brushes, exactly that kind of style im trying to achieve! keep it up being awesome!
awesome to see you doing 100 guns
with the interior, you just gotta knuckle down and refine, start with a focal point and build outta that, i'm sure you know that already but still
i think you should chuck that character onto a nice composition and paint the fuck outta him thanks! it's awesome damnit.
wow man, I like seeing your early works at the beginning of the SB. Also, it looks like your on the right track. In fact you just inspired me to get more serious about my studies of things. Keep trucking, looks like your getting close to reaching your goals.
Emil_: Will do, cheers
PHATandy: Thanks bro
bpic: Cheers man glad I motivated you, now I just need to try and motivate myself
arr i'm not on top form at all at the moment D:
More photo studies
Some more design things, just sketching really
And a little festive sketch
Your work is great man, so cool to see your improvement throughout. I envy your lines dude. Please keep the update up, and maybe you can stop by my book and lay some knowledge on me. I need my ass kicked....with words.
So it seems I did a lot less today, somehow wasted a lot of time being 'bored.' Yet I did remember the old lesson about patience. I've been getting pretty impatient since I've been doing quite a bit of work recently and feel like I'm not improving quick enough, so I had a point today when I was about to give up on that Sargent study before realising I'd only spent about half an hour on it. So I slowed down and really looked at the image, and just got on with it. Still not very happy with how non-Sargent it looks, but I'm just glad it looks more readable than it did when I was getting pissed...
A self-portrait, one eyes too small
Some sketching, trying to do silhouettes and then expand them a little
and a Sargent study

Beware burning bridges. The industry is small.
dude even though it doesnt look like sargent, its fucking hot. fuck
your doing good, you gotta slow down and realise where the fuck you are, then you start to improve as you realise what's happening, you can't force improvement, i'm sure you that though
don't stress yourself out that you NEED to improve, because you don't, sure it'll be good but really, your stuffs very nice as it is,and you'll improve nonetheless. just learn about things you want to and shit'll happen bro!
Hot damn your colours are good! Just watch the eyes in your paintings. I notice that on a fairly regular basis the two eyes are not looking quite in the same direction. If they are SLIGHTLY cross-eyed it is okay since the eyes do that to focus on objects that are close, but you have a few painting in which they are pointing outwards a touch. It is minor, but the human brain picks up on little things like that and it gives a lot of your portraits an unfocused look.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." -- Bruce Lee
Hi there! You are really rockin. I'm pretty much diggin' everything.
Watch your oblique angles on those faces, I noticed that 3/4 and an angle screws you up. And make sure you have sufficient green/white in your skin tones, they're looking pretty red!
Merry Christmas to you
Hey! Great improvement since the last time i was around! Pencil work looks like its gotten better and painting. Even proportion!
Can't wait to see some more! Keep on trucking.
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

hey man, great dedication, as usual, well, i have nothing to say about your stuff, you're having a good balance between studies and creative work, you're really studying foundations and improving a lot ! maybe something that i noticed is that most of your character from the last page have the same pose, so maybe more gesture studies are necessary ^^ Keep up the good work !
Andrew Sonea: Thanks man, I'll look out for that one
kiwigarbage: Will do man, cheers
jeremygordon89: Cheers bro
My57: Ah haven't seen your name around in a while! Thanks man
JSpayde: Thanks buddyyyyyy
