cool enviroment concept man. I think the light coming through the door on the left side in the back makes the ground look alittle tilted though.
have a good one

I like the lighting a lot, and the overall feeling is very much like a level in a video game. Some minor crits, more like suggestions i have would be to under-exagerate the perspective for such a low shot angle. what I mean by this is the left and right lines could be placed at a closer angle to the more middle ground lines, and still achieve the effect that everything is tall, and your looking down. One other thing to consider is camera placement, while the viewing point is great on the z,x axis (depth and width), the camera could be placed higher on the y and still achieve the same effect you have currently while being more dynamic. Just my two cents.
Great SB so far man! Keep it up.

Im having some difficulty with lighting... the whole idea of Warm Light = cold shadow and vise versa is a bit confusing right now... maybe im thinkin too much into it!

UPDATE! BIAATCH WIP!!!!
My version of the last day on earth.
One of the Archangels, Azraeil (AKA Angel of Death), descends to Earth to collect all the remaining souls. There is a choice given to those he approaches, either submit or be taken. There are those who treasure their lives to try to escape death, even when it's right before their eyes, they still...run... Bad move.
Azraeil, like all angels, is created from light and holds his soul gathering blade 'Moute-Rouh'. Once this blade tastes even a drop of blood from a living being, their soul is immediately drawn by it and released to the heavens where they await their first judgment.

This is so rubbish. I think I'll start again!
When I have an image in my head it's perfect!! and looks almost exact as this!
The Thumbnail looks perfect to me... as if it just jumped out of my head n uploaded itself onto my pc... but when you get closer its F***ing! Rubbishhhhh like this
It was more impressive when he had his hand outstreched. I think you are overdoing it with the blood. His bloody hand and blade would be enough.
you said harsh crits so i'll try.
It looks like you're using the wrong brushes and your approach to lighting is a bit lacking.
I think for the wispy type things you need something very soft and fluid, with dodging properties. If he is glowing you need so use the right tools for that. some options include dodge brush, dodge or screen layer, glow effect on layer...Simply painting with a soft round wont do and be mindful of high contrast areas within the figure. I like the blade. the wings arent working so far, try a feather shape with high spacing.
the anatomy is mostly pretty good just a few things here and there could be adjusted.
the design of the character is good so thats a major plus.
with the environments avoid centered composition, ie symmetrical balance.
You're tackling some difficult things so keep at it, you'll be fine.
I think I'll start again actually. I'm not happy with this at all Only the blade
Anyway thought id punch these in while im at it....just a bunch of randoms
you have some really solid drawing and painting skills. There's no doubt about it. Maybe you could try to switch it up and do something a little more cartoony for a different perspective.... but if that's not your thing, don't worry about it. Thus far, I'm really impressed! Keep it up!
To Captain Bender: He's great... at being a jerk... who's stupid, and his big ugly face is as dumb as a butt!
Some superb work. The angel is awseome. Also love the Environment work, keep it up.
You've been busy. I love the troll, and pretty much everything else.
Those thumbnails are looking pretty swank. What resources do you use to get inspiration for them?
Dahami - Oh yeah busy busy busy gonna be more busy tonight ha!
Enydimon - Thanks man . First off I ddint know much about trolls lol I just remember them in Labyrinth haha. I just used a range of paintings showing different versions of a troll. like Tree trolls etc... Deviantart is alright for those resources... I didnt know where else to look
