ZEL in zhanglu style, 3-4 hours of fun
back to studying now...
zou: thanks for the stars man!, although your vote didn't came trough??
as for the ref, everywhere on the internets http://senshistock.deviantart.com/gallery/ this one is very good
Very inspirational! This is great brain food- the portraits are looking exceptional!
hahha Denzel is awesome! I gotta pick up the Zhanglu video. Howd you like it Frank?
Phenomenal sketchbook. The Rembrandt study on the previous page is inspired. You really understand the masses of the body. Will definitely keep an eye on this book.
edit: It looks like we're tackling the really similar things, but you're finding much more success! Do you mind if I ask which books you use most for your anatomy studies? Cheers.

from imagination?? woahh awesome Frank.. very very nice
Great studies ! I think all of your proportions are kind of short! I love tall ladies )!!
Keep up the great work Cheers!
Cool Chick, Frank! There are some perspective and anatomy issues though, for example both her boobs line up perfectly while her shoulder have a different angle. Boobs somewhat inherit the angle of the shoulders, the boob closest to the foreground should as such be further up.
her legs seem abit long compared to the torso and the 'flat' of her back is non-existant, right now her chest just goes right into her pelvis; there's an abdomen both in the front and back of the body in between.
And her ankle is too thin. But still I like it, good effort!
Your photo ref studies are stellar. I like Training day too the scene with the mexicans always freak me out.
dude you're rockin itttttttttttttttt
biggjoee5790: hey man, yeah...so i can see where my faults/difficulties are...so much to learn still! thanks!
Finn Diesel: buy that zhanglu video! and then just experiment thanks for yur visit!
theUNKNOWNsketcher: i don't like tall ladies thanks unknown one!
Teh Gosu: hey man! thats denzel washington great actor! cheers
Wasker: hey wasker, thanks for the pointers...funny how you see your own faults when someone points them to you! thanks for that. and yeah, that mexican scene is friggin' cool hombre!, great casting!
~Faust~: no, you're rocking itttt!
so ehmm, some studies for today, legs, must studie some moooore!!!!
Awesome photoshop figures. I really like the subtle textures of your brush and how softly you blend the values together. Your poses look very fluid in your practice sketches. I need to practice legs too.
wow, i love the digital scetches
and your pencil scetching is plain perfect :o
one crit on the digital ones, as perfect as they look, but for my taste they could use some sharpness here and there, some more work on contrasts and edges
cant wait to see more stuff! im really impressed
your studies are always nice to look at frank.. they are very readable. Keep doing what your doing.. its very inspiring to me
I love your last studies. They are copied from?...
