Really cool Angela. Love the 3 ripple groups and the way the silk is floating nicely. There's something about the left shoulder blade doesn't look quite right. I'm too noob to say what though.
Really nice, well done.
Thanks jigje! Yeah I know I couldn't get it right, I had to make up the collar and the shoulder round it, I'll probably redo that at some point, cheers
Cheers Zou (for some reason only saw your post today (20th)) I did use ref for the pose and some general ref for everything else but not specific. It could be better you're right, the next one will be

Urgh! Yuck! Stomach! ... Lovely pup though. Haha.
Nice updates, angel. It's refreshing to see an animal on your SB, so you might want to do some more of them? I like how you do them furs. Well it's your call, most importantly though, like the most repeated words here at CA said (but strangely, I never got tired of saying it), "Keep it up!" (see? it's 'minty'! )
Thanks Witcrack Well I am planning on doing some horsey's next so I can practice more fur
raminafshari Lol Cheers..it's my mates dog Mojo, I zombied her up for the sketchoholic.com contest this week, she inspired me with her psycho pup stare
Today's sketch Mim Suleiman, for today's sketchoholic sketch of the day 'singing' Mim is an awesome singer from Zanzibar based in Sheffield.
Lots of great updates here! I think the Lady of the lake works really well as an illustration. The Mim Suleiman portrait is also really good - lots of character there, and a good amount of exaggeration.
Good improvement all around, really.
Thanks Lateman I'm working on it
Witcrack Thanks very much and yeah those studies are from life drawing I forgot to mention that, I used to study illustration and try to go to life drawing as regular as I can, just found a new class.
Todays sketches - karisma pencil studies, trying to draw without rubbing out and those don't very well, found a cool link on Anthis's sketchbook with loads of cool film stills...
and General Melchett...
i love the idea of troll pin up, best pin up ever! One thing i would say did you look trough old school pinup images? i mean that troll could use little bit more "dynamics" in pose, maybe you could make few fast pencil studies how old school pinup poses goes, if you have time.
I really like the idea, want to see this one finished

Hi, I like your caricatures. Nice expressions. Only thing I hve to grit you on right now is your lack of color studies in here. Maybe push yourself harder, work one more hour on your digis also try and do some enviroment and backgrounds. Render everything abit more. Keep on drawing and painting you never stop growing. Cheers
Hi Nettle mountain Thanks for the crit Yeah, she is looking too static there, I made a few alterations, I changed her arm and added some details to try and make it a bit more lively, I need to start off with more thumbnails first to find the most dynamic pose. Thanks again.
B-Man - Thanks dude Thanks for the suggestions. I am trying to not overwork stuff it's a bad habit of mine, but it means sometimes things look unfinished and not in a good way I'm trying to get a nice balance between sketchy and polished, it'll come to me . And you're right I do need to do more colour and environment studies, I have been meaning to
Well this is the Final for the Chow Not really a 'classic' pin up but I enjoyed it...

Love the troll mama! Nice job, congratulation. One crit though, I think you can still give her some more details. Like her hair there, it can have more black thin outlines and her ear can have some more detail (dots, short strokes, etc). It may seem like nitpicking, but small and seemingly unimportant details like that can really add liveliness to your work. Don't overdo it though. Anyway, CHOWs are tough on the deadline, I understand that and I think you're did great there.
