Hi, i'm just getting started with digital art, and it looks as if i am going to have to learn to draw in a completely different way than i do on paper. So here are a couple i sketched out just practicing using opacitys (?) to create depth and color blends, well it didn't work so well. Here it is, also, anything anyone might have to say to help technique or anything at all to change please say so, i'm looking to get better
Hey, nice stuff! One of the first qualities artists MUST have is not being afraid of showing their art. No matter how "crappy" they think it is, you will know if they will improve by not being shy on the forums.
The one thing I recommend to you is buying an anatomy book and draw part of people as well as scribbling out GESTURES. Keyword is "Figure Drawing Gestures" Google it or something. More or less drawing a gesture of something makes you feel in one with the subject as you try to "search" the right angles and placement of everything. Its a bit of a lot of information but all in all do some anatomy studies =)
a real small update. I wanted to try working on some coloring with shadows and background and stuff, so here's what came out of it.
Hi, i was doing a bit more work with shadows, i feel like it's getting a bit better. Also, could anyone give me a link to a good texturing tutorial? I can't seem to figure out how to do it, without it looking like it's not supposed ot be there.
