For part of my art course, I need to study 'everyday objects'. For my first study, I picked my favourite pendant, and it's not turning out well.. But it is a pretty good practise for.. shiny-shading. Anyway, any advice on how to make this look shinier, and more realistic would be amazing. (Still a WIP, I just want some help before I carry on)
Thats a good start What would make a world of difference is more contrast, you'll notice a lot of it in shiny objects. Dont be afraid to get a darker pencil/press down really hard! And for the lighter areas, it can help to erase over those areas to make them seem brighter.
